need ammunition to stop Endo reducing my T3
Hello, this is my second post concerning the fact that my Consultant's Registrar wants to lower my T3 from 10mg but keep me on 54 mcg of Levo as my TSH is supressed. I have no thyroid after it was destroyed with RAI.However his Registrar was abrupt, merely telling me that my T3 must be reduced because

Just saw my first rheumatologist yesterday, very confused by diagnosis?
Can you have negative rheumatoid factor, negative CCP antibodies, no pain, stiffness, swelling or symptoms in the small joints (hands, feet etc) & it still be possible to have rheumatoid arthritis? All of my symptoms for the past 5 and 1/2 months seem to be classical PMR (before I started taking prednisone

Looking for advice for my daughter.
Hi it's me again but this time I'm looking for advice for my daughter who has had Hypothyroidism since a teenager. Now 45. I've told her she needs to increase her thyroxine but thought I would ask the experts. They have never tested her T4 or T3. Her vitamins were tested last in October 2022 which

Royal Free visit
Hi all, I just thought I would give a quick update. I attended the Royal Free Hospital last Thursday ,I was seen in the Scleroderma clinic by a member of the team. She asked questions and examined me, she then went and got a senior colleague,(not Prof Denton) unfortunately can’t remember their names

Wondering about something
I know everyone is different so there won't be a precise answer to this. I know when we have a dose increase it takes a few weeks or more to feel the effects. But, I'm wondering how fast medication affects our levels like tsh and t4. Does that take weeks too?

Advice please
Hello, hypothyroid here, currently taking 225mg levothyroxine daily. Visited the Dr (NHS) last week for a few ongoing issues, including a lump in my neck (just right of neck centre) and was seen primarily by a student Dr who’s findings were then discussed/assessed with GP. Very convinced it’s a goitre

Bottom of T4 range - Graves
Ok - had a mental health crisis over the weekend - not feeling great but kinda sorted myself out. I was waiting for results which get posted and thought I had gone up the scale turns out T4 is 12 (range is 11-23) lowest it's ever been and TSH is 0.20 (range is 0.27-4.5) - they won't test anything else

Extra folate & biotin?
Since 24th April, I’ve taken 50mg levo daily, with BioCare Adreno Complex, Igennus Super B-Complex and separate Igennus B12. It’s early days, but in due course I plan to increase levo to 75mg, then 100mg, if my obliging GP will prescribe it. My question is this: is it safe/advisable/helpful to add in

Real-time measurement of glucose as a proxy for levodopa concentration?
Goud et al. write [1]: "because dose optimization is currently based on patients’ report of symptoms, which are difficult for patients to describe, the management of PD is challenging. We report on a microneedle sensing platform for continuous minimally invasive orthogonal electrochemical monitoring

Hi everyone, I am on 4 grains NDT and 20 mcg T3 per day. My FT4 is just beneath normal range, FT3 upper third of range and suppressed TSH. My endo is supportive but says he has never seen anyone on so much thyroid replacement! I am wondering why I need so much (and have a few symptoms I would like

If anyone has a recommendation for an endo at Southampton Hospital can you dm me please? I have been on T3/levothyroxine combination for quite a while as I do not convert sufficiently on Levothyroxine alone. I recently increased my levothyroxine by 25mg a day following my last blood results and
