Post surgery
Hello. I am 3 weeks after open heart surgery to repair my mitral valve. I am still wearing compression socks but for the last 3 days one of my ankles has been swallen. Is this normal weeks after surgery? Getting a GP appointment is almost impossible so wanted to know if anyone else experienced this.

How were you 8 months Post-Op?
Happy New Year everyone! I’ve posted on here quite a bit, and have appreciated all the support I’ve been getting. I had my lap in May of 2023. Since then, I’ve started pelvic floor therapy. For the last 4 weeks, I’ve done bladder installations weekly. So installations one day then therapy the next.

PSA Rising
Had surgery in November 2021. Gleason 4+3...Post surgery PSA was 0.01. Positive margin (1 millimetre). PSA has risen from 0.1 to 0.06 in 24 months. Doctor says I should do nothing. Until it hits 0.2. Next test is June 2024. Any advice will be appreciated.

Was diagnosed with angina in 2022 stent fitted to LAD. Fast forward to now. Needing knee replacement, had a pre assessment appointment in december, went in thinking I would be offered surgery on jan. Blood test came back as low iron. Saw anesthetist who was happy regards heart but spoke to colorectal

My decision on Radiotherapy -v- Prostatectomy
I hope this story might be useful to others. I'm based in the UK and had a PSA of 12.7 from a test in June 2023. That led to an MRI in August with a PI-RADS of 5 with irregularity on the front of the prostate. I eventually had a biopsy at the end of September after 3 cancellations (this was through the

Referral policy
Hi everyone! I am wondering if you are able to share your experience with referrals, etc. I mentioned previously that I am on an 80-week waiting list to see an Endo specialist (NHS). I guess it will be another 80 weeks to have laparoscopy. Basically, over three years of pain and worry..I am considering

Cyclical pain
Morning all I’m new to the forum so not sure what to expect. Brief summary; Took 13 years to diagnose my Endo from the age of 17, had laparoscopy and then surgery to laser. Suffered 5 miscarriages after having my son in 2014. Period symptoms were worsening to the point where in my 40s I can barely

PSA Rising
Asking for a friend of my father this time. He had surgery in december 2022 and everything was removed including glands. Gleason 4+5. His PSA has risen från 0.1 to 0.14 in 12 months. His doctor says to do nothing until it hits 0.2. But shouldn’t he do more? Maybe he doesn’t have advanced cancer yet.
