Not existing QOL
I had a
spinal
surgery
in October 21, but I never was able to walk after that. The reason given was that there was a major spinal injury and nothing could be done. Going back to my prior MRI, I’m convinced that the surgery was too late to avoid the injury.

Kyphosis treatment?
I have severe osteoporosis and severe kyphosis due to breaking T10-T12 ten yrs ago. I was in a brace for the first 8 yrs but now have not been for the last 2 years. I technically need a spinal fusion to fix my back but my bones are too osteoporotic. My Dr says I need to go back into a back brace to try

b12 injections after spinal cord surgery
I thought this might be of interest. A bonus effect of treating my pernicious anaemia. I had an appointment today with my neurologist, I’m three weeks post op for cervical spine laminectomy to decompress my spinal cord. We were discussing my progress and new neurological symptoms following the operation

DEGENERATIVE DISC DISEASE, FORAMINA STENOSIS, FAILED BACK SURGERY
I had a
spinal
fusion in 2018. I recovered from the
surgery
but the back pain and leg pain in d form of pins and needles continued but this time a lower dose of gabapentine made me to be pain free. I eventually felt much better and stopped the gabapentine in 2022.

Heartened to know I am not alone in the struggles caused by pramipexole
I have had RLS and PLMD as long as I can remember. I’m sure all of those nights I struggled with symptoms as a child that were brushed off as growing pains…RLS. My mom suffers mildly. Unfortunately, both of my daughters also have many challenges that began as teens. What I’ve been through is so complex

Treatment was well tolerated, and no adverse events were reported. Our case series shows a potential role for self-administered taVNS in patients with severe pharmacoresistant RLS. Hartley S, Bao G, Russo A, Zagdoun M, Chevallier S, Lofaso F, Leotard A, Azabou E. Self-administered non-invasive vagus

Hello all, firstly, I cannot express my gratitude for this site well enough. It has educated me, waylaid my apprehensions and relieved my moments of aloneness - thank you all. My background is ICU nursing and then psychologist in private practice specialising in aged competency issues, head injuries

another cervical stenosis update!
He said he was “concerned” about the amount of bad wear to the discs, and if things are left as they are, things will get worse, and should my hubby have a bad fall then it could be fatal as there is nowhere for the
spinal
cord to go!

Anyone had spinal fusion on T10-12?
I have severe osteoporosis and kyphosis from breaking T10-T12 and wondered if anyone has had this? They're recommending a spinal fusion to fix this or otherwise to live in a brace forever hoping the kyphosis curve won't progress any more than it already has. I'm wondering which is the better option if

went off Xgeva for a year, have to go back on it. Ideas or tips helpful
Hi, the short version is I’ve been dealing w stage 4 MBC since 2019/ 2020 with mets to the bones since 2020, including a thoracic spinal fracture which led to a spinal fusion. I was put on Xgeva for a couple of years and later read on Xgeva’s website that being on it long term is likely to increase

Has anyone had the Ozaki procedure for Aortic Valve repair in the UK?
I have
spinal
osteoporosis so am very worried about
surgery
and the effect on my spine. I am unable to take anticoagulants so am looking at the option of valve repair.
