Regular follow-ups and then my
soma
started to stop working. Had tablets to take care of the Crohns but the pain got worse and worse. 18 months later I had a op to remove a hernia, they did not find a hernia but the wound became very infected and I developed fistulas around the stoma.

Enjoy the good times
Hello lovelies I’m writing this from my wonderful holiday in Florida with all the family. While I’m laying on my sun lounger at Typhoon Lagoon listening to the Beach Boys (all theme parked out lol) I’m thinking how lucky and privileged I am to be here, 6 months post first line NED. When we booked it

I might be heading for a bowel resection for endometriosis. Has anyone else had one? How was it?
I am quite scared of waking up with a stoma and hopefully won't be permanent as they have warned I may need one. It could only be for 3 months. I have 2 large nodules on bowel one is 5cm. Trying not to lose the plot as I also want to have a baby through ivf and I'm nearly 39. How long do I wait to try

Debulking surgery
I had my debulking surgery 2 weeks ago today. Initially I did very well after the long op and also had acbowel resection at the same time in preparation for a stoma reversal. I am having real problems eating as I feel constantly full. Did anyone else have this problem and when did it start to resolve

Sleeping position
I’m curious to know if any of my fellow ostomates manage to sleep on their sides? If so, any top tips? I generally struggle with leakage due to a retracted Stoma & pancreatic insufficiency which means o find it difficult to break food down when I digest it. I manage this with convex rings & Sensure Mio

Looking for Help!
I’m not sure where to post this information, but thought that I would start here to try and gain a better understanding of what is happening to me and to seek answers and, hopefully, advice and help, to some troublesome problems. Nearly six years ago, at the age of 71, I was diagnosed with two cancers

Update
Hi Everyone As promised we have a further update. Hubby has finally got a date for his stoma reversal op which is the 16th October. Between Dr Schuh and Oliver Jones they have discussed the concerns of operation vs steroids and as hubby finishes steroids in 2 weeks time they think this should give enough

Bowel issues
Hi ladies, I'm in need of some advice or comforting words. I have had 2 scopes in the past week, there were question marks after the first one. Consultant has confirmed that cancer has spread to bowel and now they cannot offer me radiotherapy as was suggested a few weeks back. I'm devastated and hope

Post surgery fertility blues!
So I had my 3rd surgery in July I awoken to find they had to perform a laparotomy, bowel resection and stoma, and stents in kidney tubes. So I'm just about recovered physically I only had this procedure as an attempt to conceive naturally to be told in hospital that it wouldn't be possibly due to scar

Endometriosis or Colon cancer??
Hi Everyone, I asked for a CA125 blood test because I had bloating, constipation and pelvic discomfort on the left side, but NO Pain. It was 134. The ultrasound was all normal, I had repeated the CA125 two more times, and it is still climbing up, it was 158 last month. My gynaecologist ordered an MRI
