Toilet Issues
So, I’ve been to the doctors and they haven’t diagnosed IBS. They just did checks to ensure no food intolerances. But with nerves I quite often get the feeling of needing to poo and not being able to hold it to the point where I’ve either got to stop the car and go in the back of the car in something

BP is well down, but an increase in sodium drives it right back up. What to do?
Through weight loss/exercise/no caffeine/low
sodium
/medication (Lisinopril-HCTZ 20-25mg), my blood pressure has dropped from about 190/110 to about 100/65. Cutting back on my
sodium
intake has made a profound difference. I am a 55 year old male, I exercise daily and I hydrate well.

Seen the heart nurse for the first time
She’s put him on the new drug DAPAGLIFLOZIN , she’s said to not restrict water as his
sodium
levels are fine, but not to be daft and guzzle it. We see her again in 2 weeks, feel so much better after seeing her x

Ascites
The last twice he has been for his bloods pre drain they have kept him in due to high potassium and low
sodium
, the last time they kept him for 3 weeks! He has also recently been diagnosed as having adrenal insufficiency. Is this all linked?

I am new here - question
I have suffered from IBS-D for many years. I find when I take Imodium I am good for a few days after. I am considering taking it every second or third day on a regular basis. Has anyone else had success with this method?

Dear friends, I have a ‘what would you do’ scenario that I’d really love your help with, please.
A short update for those following - When I saw my haematologist last week it was quite unpleasant, I think her impatience was due to her ridiculous workload or her frustration that she can’t really guide me. I dared not question her words or ask too many Q’s, I left it at a couple, one of them was re

Do medium-chain triglycerides downregulate mTOR?
I ran across some info about MCTs turning off mTOR and amping up AMPK (possibly resulting in an increase in autophagy and also lipolysis). Does anyone have any info on whether or not MCTs are potentially beneficial for prostate cancer?

Howdy, I’m new in town!
So he up the dosage to 50mg of levothyroxine
sodium
. And in March my life fell apart. My anxiety has increased ten fold. My klonopin was no longer working for me. I kept having panic attacks that were really bad. I was put right back were I was at 12.

How little sodium/day is too low?
I am consuming far less
sodium
than I used to, and I am walking 8-9 miles/every 24 hour period. I decided to tally up my actual
sodium
intake/day. It ranges from 278 mg/day to 638 mg/day, presuming there's not much
sodium
in the gallon of filtered tap water I consume each day.

An ironic observation by the first synthesiser of thyroxine
When thyroxine or its
sodium
salt is administered by the mouth absorption appears to be irregular, and scarcely ever is the full effect of a given dose obtained.

LVA Surgery - Unsuccessful...?
I'm in good physical shape, get lots of exercise, eat a healthy, low
sodium
diet, wear compression garments, and use a Flexitouch pump. As uncomfortable as my lymphedema is, I am able to manage it by sticking to these daily practices.

Thick mucus! Anyone else have this? **graphic pics**
If I don’t take my 5 laxido, 3 docusate
sodium
and a micro enima every day then the extreme spasms and pain are so bad I almost pass out. If I eat anything heavy I’m back in the toilet vomiting it back up within minutes.
