Dietary analysis app you might like....and how much methionine is too much?
I've turned into a bit of a food geek and I've just discovered an app which analyses my food diary and shows, amongst many other things, methionine, calcium and sodium intake. If anyone is interested, it's called Cronometer. I'm trying (like many of us) to reduce my methionine by reducing my animal protein

Undiagnosed as yet
Hi, I am a mid 50’s female and diagnosed from childhood with asthma that became brittle asthma from my 40’s. I was under a specialist centre 9 years ago when I was in and out of hospital every 2 weeks for 6 months with only being able to take small breaths. It feels like there is a concrete bandage tightly

Has anyone had an iron infusion/injection and did you feel the benefits from this straight away
Well after seeing the Nephrologist yesterday they have said that I am anaemic and have to have iron infusion/injection not sure which now. I asked if it was related to my sore tongue (diagnosed as Geographic Tongue 6 months ago) and she said it was. Hopefully this will go away when I have had the iron

Ruxo and diarrhea
Has anyone else on Ruxo had really bad diarrhoea? Since being on it I have had regular bouts of “ the runs” and have had to take Imodium. I have felt so much better in all other respects on the Ruxo and don’t want to have to stop using it.

Co2 levels
Nephrologist visit this week and CO2 low. He added sodium bicarbonate. Can anyone explain more about this? Can it be diet related and how do I help it with what I eat?

Falling b12
Hi, I’m. A bit concerned about falling b12 levels as I thought they we had stores that lasted years. In June 18 I had a raft of tests that showed b12 at 159, so right on the bottom of the UK “normal” range. intrinsic factor antibodies test which came back at 2.7 (0-6) parietal cell antibodies test

Hi all, Sorry to be here but grateful that you are here to support and inform me. I’ve been reading posts every night for a while. I’m a generally fit and healthy 62 year old guy, was diagnosed in January after 3 months of unfortunately misdirected management on prolonged antibiotics as prostatitis.

Ascites or belly fat?
Is there a way to tell a difference in the two besides weighing yourself? My fiancé looks like he has put a bit of weight on in his belly and his face. His face was looking gaunt so I’m thankful for the weight but I’m worried it’s ascites coming back as he has stopped his diuretics a couple of weeks

I am 57 year old male. I am recently having pain near the lateral side of left triceps and 2 kgs of weight loss in last 2 months. The triceps pain started earlier but it worsened in the last 2 months. Doctor gave B complex twice daily and prescribed several tests. Cardiac tests (echo and EKG) are normal

A bit of history first... my mum has always had repeated chest infections and as long as I can remember she’s always choked on her food. About 3 years ago, she finally had scans done and they discovered a shadow on her right lung. They gave different antibiotics to try and clear up the infection she
