Might anyone have any thoughts please? Do I need to act on these results? Fresh blood results all normal although I am still suffering from daily fatigue and brain fog. I am currently on Levo 25 - reduced from 50 last year as I was having heart flutters. TSH 2.57 mU/L normal [down from 4.55 Feb 1st]

Statins and underactive thyroid
I've had an underactive thyroid after radioactive iodine treatment 20+ years ago. After a recent health check - no thyroid results - but cholesterol results are 'a cause for concern'. I'm seeing the nurse next week when I expect statins will be suggested. The results are Cholesterol 6.1mmol/l

High BP and Stage 4
I noticed most people have diabetes which I do not, per my biopsy my CKD was caused by untreated High BP. Well now I'm on 3 different meds and while my BP is good I still have a lot of protein in my urine and my eGF is 22 with a creatinine of 2.35. I haven't had red meat in several years, watch my

Iodine contrast for a CT scan with Hashimoto's and reduced T3/T4 after ruptured ovarian cyst
Good afternoon! This morning I attended a hospital appointment for a CT scan to investigate the cause of my tinnitus. I didn't realise until today that I would need to be given an iodine contrast, which was administered during the scan via a cannula. Since having this done I have started to become concerned

Blood test results
Hi I had a thyroidectomy and was on radio iodine treatment many moons ago and is on 175mg on thyroxine. As far as I can remember my levels have never been ok. As u can see in 3 months there is a difference I've gone hyper to hypo. Before that last reading before that was in the middle of the pandemic

Family planning and treatment options (Graves)
I am planning on trying to get pregnant in the next year or so. I don't know if I should have permeant treatment (Radioactive Iodine (RAI) or surgery) or stick to ATD (antithyroid drugs) before hand. Hospital doctor/nurse have given me a standard RAI leaflet and explained some of the pros and cons

Advice please
I’m currently on holiday so away from my GP Surgery. On 1st July I started having whooshes of the bottom. Despite eating bland food, I am easily having to dash to the toilet at least twice an hour. Tried taking Imodium seems to work for 4 hours then I am back to square one. 😭needless to say all my muscles

Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with graves and hyperthyroidism about 3 years back (probably had this for about 10 years) and I have been on carbimozle since then. decompensated cirrhosis - aching
Partner diagnosed 22.12.22 decompensated alcohol related cirrhosis. Stopped drinking then. Bloods slowly improving until a bit of a crisis 3 weeks ago when he was suffering from awful edema (he previously couldn't take water tablets due to low sodium). He is back home and bloods are now looking better

How long has it take RAI to work for you?
Hi All, My hyper battle has been ongoing for 4 years. First time it settled quicky with Carbimazole and relapsed after stopping, I have now been on Carbimazole for over 3 years, with the only break being for my RAI treatment. So my RAI treatment was 10th May and I restarted Carbimazole 20mg a day

I have had to cancel my GP appointment, that I have waited three weeks for, as I have contracted covid and the next one available is in four weeks. I want to feel as well as I can, as soon as I can. Advice please re removal of mercury fillings and detoxing
I had most of my amalgam fillings removed about 20 years ago to try to help relieve migraines, but for some reason there are a couple left. I had a blood test for heavy metals and mercury was found, so I have been advised to have the remaining amalgam removed biologically to try to lessen hypo symptoms

Ongoing fatigue following thyroidectomy due to cancer
In 2019 I had a full thyroidectomy and RAI treatment due to cancer. Since then I have had problems with fatigue, which I understand is not unusual after this type of treatment. I was given125mcg Levothyroxine initially but this caused near hyperthyroidism, I am at present on 100mcg but find I am still

Okay, I had my sodium IV this morning. It is amazing! I feel like a different person. I never knew that your sodium level could cause such horrible problems. It was an easy fix. Thank goodness I have a fabulous doctor who rooted out the problem and immediately fixed it! I am really grateful. Thank you
