Finally getting somewhere... hopefully
So I haven't posted in 4 months as I was waiting until I had something more to report. I had my 12 week lupus anticoagulant follow up test and this came back positive again with a note that if this is not caused by lupus then it needs following up. The luoys unit have signed me off so haven't looked

Recent 2020 research report, and one in 2017 showing Xofigo may have a much higher risk of serious side effects on bone marrow than thought!
Unfortunately, some of us here have been suspecting this, due to personal experience: "Twenty-three patients received Xofigo at UF Health, and one was lost to follow-up. Sixteen patients (73%) completed the full course (six doses) of Xofigo, while six did not. Ten patients (45%) developed pancytopenia

Dear friends My first post was 24 days ago and I started every other day injections then. My symptoms then were summarised as feeling extremely upset and nervous, internal tremor from base of spine spreading upwards and downwards, tingling and burning in legs and feet and tinnitus plus palpitations

Hey everyone.this is just my 2nd time posting here. My dad is currently in hospital since Thursday. My heart is broken we can't even see him. He has been battling prostate cancer over 7 years. I have been told to reduce from 5mg to zero (4mg this week then 3 then 2 etc )and use Naproxen instead as I’ve got low sodium I’ve had it before when I was first on Prednisolone and have had it since January it despite adding salt

MSN on Supplements
I don't particularly like MSN but it comes on my feed, and there are some interesting articles. Copied and edited some points on this one (you can read it all if you want of course). Most of us will probably know and agree with much or all of it. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/health/familyhealth/19-warning-signs-your-vitamins-arent-going-to-work

Ibs d and not keeping well
So had a flare up last Sunday. Was feeling better in the week. But this Saturday got up with a doggy stomach again. Feeling so down and frustrated. Don’t know what to do. Had a good eight months before this with absolutely no problems. So frustrating. Also would like to know how do people who have to

Another Gp
Saw a different Gp on purpose. Only one available anyhow reason 3 x strange 'turns last one last night. He said I should only be having 3 monthly b12 injections. Didnt need to take tablets. I politely said the neurologist said to follow the bnf guidelines and I wasnt there today to discuss my b12 regime

IBS D obsessed
Hi I have had IBS d for many years. I take Imodium daily just lately because most days I am in situations such as work meetings, places with no toilet or just worry that I will not reach a toilet due to previous attacks. The truth is though I may not actually need the Imodium as I haven’t had a bad attack

Increasing Levothyroxine made my blood work worse
I'm new here but absolutely desperate for some answers. I’m sorry this is going to be long. I was diagnosed hypothyroid back in 2013 and did okay on 25 mcg/day of Levothyroxine. My TSH was never ideal, often a bit above the acceptable range, but whenever they tried to increase my dose I got tons of

Advice on latest TSH results & High vitB12-take PPIs for acid reflux....
Hi Would welcome your thoughts on my latest TSH and whether my sluggish, low energy, weight gain, constant bloated stomach, brain fog, bad short term memory and fungal rash on breasts-Is it all hypo symptoms or B12 deficiency masked by the taking of PPI Omaprazole for hiatus hernia and acid reflux.

Magnesium citrate vs glycinate - new winner
I have been a bit of a traditionalist over magnesium and have stuck with citrate as I saw it as a “safe option” as it is so widely used. For some reason this time I decided it was time for a change and bought 500 MG glycinate. Wow I am pleased I did this. It is simply far milder on the stomach and

Nausea, Cramping & Diarrhoea
Although 14 months post op, but only out of hospital 7 months because of many complications resulting in 5 months ICU, my husband is still feeling nauseous every day & suffering cramping & diarrhoea most days after small meals.
