Chronic Pain Syndrome and SNRI's
After having arthritis for over 20 years (I am 42 now) I was told I have Chronic Pain Syndrome..... after trying various medications I would like to add to my gabapentin and co-codamols a SNRI. I was on fluoxetine, but after reading up on it want to try a SNRI like Milnacipran, Duloxetine or Venlafaxine

Possible Endocarditis?
I think this is completely the wrong group but did not know where else to post! I am 20 year old male who does not drink / smoke / do drugs etc. Upon inhaling deeply I get a minor pain (more discomfort) in my left side upper chest that can also been felt in my back. This has been going on for a couple

Sleep Study result
So I had my sleep study result today. Even though I felt like I slept for 15 minutes I did infact sleep for 5.5 hours. I was told the test was entirely normal. My AHI (apnea index) was 2.8, that's awakenings per hour. Abnormal is over 5 and bad cases are far higher 20+ I was told today. My oxygen sats

New here, could do with some advice
Hi, I'm 22 and I suffer from quite severe endometriosis. I struggle most days to get up because the pain is so bad. Does anyone have literally any suggestions of anything that could help? I've had two laparoscopies which seem to have made things worse (and I knew that was a risk) but literally anything

My 12 year old daughter was just DX'd a month ago with what we have been told as FND with Apnea and Paralysis. She spent 8 days at Hopkins, 5 of them in PICU because of not breathing and on a vent. She would go through episodes of not breathing that led to paralysis and now has limited movement in

Minireview: The Neural Regulation of the Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Thyroid Axis
There are many reasons to question the conventional approach to thyroid levels which insists on the central and absolute position of TSH. Thankfully, at least some medical/scientific folk do have an inkling of this and we can sometimes see deeper thoughts. I have always wondered why the thryoid has

Sleep Study Test
On Thursday I underwent a Sleep Study Test at Harefield Hospital. I stayed overnight in a small private room. All it seems to involve is monitoring sat levels overnight. I was just attached to a monitor via a ear clip. I have insomnia (probably connected to my severe COPD) so I only slept for a couple

My lungs today!
Hi everyone, today I had an appointment with the pulmonologist. I have been having some issues lately, and his nurses always take my pulse-ox at rest. Needless to say it is always good then. So I asked for a reading with exertion and we walked about 15 meters and I walked 1/2 of a flight of stairs and

Anti-D
Has anyone diagnosed with PBC ever had anti-D injections after pregnancy or a miscarriage, I was wondering if there could be a connection here?

So tired afraid I'm going to pass right out!
Okay, until I get to the PCP since the rheumatologist found that my anti DNA and thyroid peroxidase to be over 600, he took TSH labs and wants to see me day Aftwr tomorrow. These symptoms have been persisting since the day they started last July 7th. I've not been the same person since and it took them
