Happy New Year, to everyone, let's hope its a good one health wise. So saw my surgeon, actually one of his junior Dr's, yesterday and the second opinion tests on my tumour biopsy showed no malignant cells and benign. My wife was so elated, however I was a bit flat as I had my elation from first results

Ibrance and kidney functioning
I had a Pet Scan this week and it is stable with no evidence of cancer. The scan did show something going on with both of my kidneys which was not shown on the scan 3 months ago. I have been taking ibuprofen for back pain, mild headache- in the past couple of months. I also take Ibrance and Letrazole

Aggressive breast cancer metastases after Covid boosters
Has anyone seen the new report on this? I have been concerned about Covid and metastases in general (not the shot or following boosters) because my metastases appeared 15 days after I had a very mild case of Covid. PSA rising…..Duke Champ?
In November I posted my concerns that my psa increased from.01 to.27 after 15 months of Zytiga. Test today showed it at .67. Unfortunately, ct scans also showed spread in lymph nodes. I am certainly mCRPC now which answers my question from my last post. Also, I had a bladder tumor scraped via scope

Hi to all, I wish you all a happy new year!Had my last PET and sadly I have one oligoprogressing lesion. Last May 2022 I had 2 or 3 hypermetabolic tumors (SUV 3,7-4,5 and 1,9 - September 2022 SUV 2,9-5 and 1,9). These weren't new tumors but they had kind of disapeared for 2 years. I had been NEAD

Treatment recommendations for a friend of a friend
A friend of mine contacted me about his friend who was diagnosed with PCA that had spread to the bladder and lymph nodes. I couldn’t get any further bio information. What type of treatment is recommended and what cancer centers have any of you with similar diagnosis used? I think he is in the Atlanta

Stage 4 Prostate Cancer treated with Xtandi- 3 pills & Zolodex; 1.5 yrs diagnosed, now left side pain under ribs
CT scan and ultrasound have shown no significant change since the initial diagnosis April 2021 with surgery to remove tumor from the spine. Harrington Rods were inserted in the back to support the spine. Now regaining the ability to walk with a cane, which given surgery; was unlikely. Numbness persists

Starting Tagrisso
After four rounds of Keytruda, Pemetrexed, and Carboplatin a PET scan showed primary tumor had increased in size. My doctor then ordered a biopsy which tested positive for EGFR mutation. I had a three week course of radiation and just started Tagrisso two days ago. All my joints are sore. Hopefully,

Apalutamide Assistance
My dad has stage IV low volume prostate cancer and the hospital said that they would automatically apply him for assistance for apalutimide. He's retired and on a Medicare Advantage plan. His oncologist says most insurances don’t cover it all and they will automatically apply for assistance. Do

A new year met with some gratitude
Morning all hope the new year brings some positivity to us all . I joined the group in September when I got my initial diagnosis ( story in my name ) and I have to say that the support I received at that dark time was nothing short of wonderful and I’ve made some good friends here… this cancer journey

solitary lung nodule. Experience or literature about thorascopic lobectomy, no biopsy yet?
my husband received a call from his pulmonologist Friday who reported on the tumor board. Please see profile. We were expecting to hear biopsy but were surprised to hear they were sending him directly to a surgeon for a lobectomy. They are scheduling a FDG PET. (but the last one was fine with radiologist

MRI with suspicious spots and negative biopsy
Just wanted an opinion. Let us say you see a high PIRAD score on MRI, but MRI-targeted biopsy is benign. Should that make you nervous? Talking to urologists at UW, Stanford, and Mayo they didn't seem that was too weird. I guess urologists believe that biopsy is the "ultimate truth". For example,
