Sinemet miserable side effects
Poor sleep. Anxious half waking thoughts while trying to sleep. Overactive bowel. Feel zoned out. I know this is wrong. Started sinemet on 1 Feb. 3 x 12.5 / 50. Increased to double dose 3 March. Back to original dose 13 March because of the side effects. This is no way to carry on. I'm going to have

Sinemet - sleep problems
Started Sinemet 1/2/19. 3 x 12.5 / 50. Doubled it as instructed 3/3/19. Sleeping badly, feeling worried and low, can't taste food. Decided yesterday to go back to original dose, and hopefully bring in high dose thiamin. New to this forum. Have had brilliant advice from PwP who runs a website. She was

Sinemet or not to Sinemet
I am 47 diagnosed 15 months ago. I have been taking sinemet mostly since the start after trying angst which was awful. 5 weeks ago I started waking up sick throwing up and a banging head. After 4 weeks of this I decided enough is enough and dropped all my meds. Here I am tremor a lot less and no headaches

B1and Rash?
Husband with PD started on B1 and after four days of only 100mg a day, has developed a rash on his arms. Anyone else had that specific problem. He’s been on Sinemet for quit some time so that’s not the culprit.

Eliminating Sinemet
I'm 75 years old and was first diagnosed with PD by a neurologist about 15 years ago. At that time the only symptoms I remember having were that I sometimes stepped a little bit funny, and I didn't swing my arms when I walked. Anyway, the doc immediately prescribed 3 Sinemets per day, with which I complied

Appointment with neurologist
I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in November. I’ve been reading and following this blog regularly. It’s so helpful! I believe my symptoms are very mild at this point and I take two Sinemet and one 250g magnesium tablet a day. I have a follow up appointment with the neurologist in April, and

Protein interfering with sinemet
I take 2 25/100 sinemet every 3 hours, protein just makes pills not work very well or not at all, so then I'll have to wait 30 min and take 2 more pills. I usually wait to eat an hour before or after before meals. Took 2 pills of my regular sinemet at 11 PM, slept through the night untill 7 am, took

MUCUNA VS SINEMET
Can anyone simply answer this question? What is the equal amount of Mucuna Pruiens @ 98% compared to Sinemet 25/100? I have purchased a product from NutriVita with little instructions.

More controversial medication. I still don;t care if you are anti.
I sent this in a private message to someone, but I think it should go here too. I have been a true medical cannabis user since 2014, but more like 2010 in reality. I smoked a lot of joints, which was just the norm here, even if I don;t like it. I got vaporisers (I have 5 different ones) over the last

Mucana vs Sinemet
My husband was diagnosed five years ago with PD. He is 75. His biggest annoyance at this time is hallucinations. He takes Sinemet, 25/100 , 2 pills three times a day. We are aware and I follow this site, that it could be caused from his medication. We have attempted twice to reduce but can only get down

Too much Sinemet
First off, if you've seen one case of Parkinson's, you've seen one case of Parkinson's. In my wife's case, she experienced overdosing on Sinemet. She started by taking Mirapex when she was first diagnosed about 5 years ago. Even a small dosage was putting her to sleep for long periods of time. Her

Entacapone side effects
I have been put on entacapone 200mg with sinemet 25/100 3 x a day & I have been experiencing terrible sweating at night. At first, I thought maybe it's just going through menopause, but this sweating is way different, because I am literally sweating from my head to my toes. Has anyone else experienced

Sinemet not as effective in afternoon
My mom has been taking sinemet (25/100) 4 times a day for 2 years. She also takes one pill of Azilect. She gets up early like 4:30 so her first sinemet dose is around 5 am. When we saw the doctor last Friday she told him how she fades in afternoon. He recommended switching to rytary. He told her

Switching from sinemet to rytary
My mom is in her first week of rytary from sinemet. She took 4 sinemet pills a day. Her rytary dose is 95. The doctor had her gradually increasing this over 10 days to see what works for her. She is now up to 3 pills at 4 times per day but says when she wakes up around 4:30 she feels awful and has

Possibly misdiagnosed orthostatic hypotension
I have just returned from the UK where I joined celebrations for my parents diamond wedding anniversary. Mum got her card from the Queen, so she was happy. And Dad was running round like a toddler, on his feet all day at the party, nobody even remembering we had a wheelchair available. At my sons

My theory on B1
I have read for the last 6 months people’s experiences on B1. Some people have huge improvements and need large amounts. It seems more and more people are dropping back to much lower levels. I wonder whether it is because the first group of people who were treated by Dr Constantini were local Italian

Sinemet now unavailable in New Zealand
Sinemet is out of stock here in NZ and pharmacies say it might be quite a long time before its back. The new substitute called Kinson which they say is the same but I think the product that disperses the levodopa ect is not good.It does not help me the same and I get headaches and feel down on it.
