Flare up
Hi, I have had lupus for 7 years now and feel I've been very lucky as meds have controlled it really well , until now. I have continued to go on holiday and wear solbari clothing and 50 factor sun screen . I have been able to sit in shaded places . However this time had a really bad flare in my ankles

Post double ankle sprain rehab
Hi all, I managed to sprain both ankles, falling off a high curb, but at the beginning of a 450km cycle tour. Although I could not walk well, I could cycle with discomfort only under exertion. Given that I had was committed to the tour, I continued with pain-killers, an ankle support for the most affected

Some of you will know we moved from Cornwall to the Bristol area which obviously meant registering with a new doctors surgery. I’ve been about three times and you can never see the same doctor even though they say make an appointment to see me after your blood test. Anyway the last time I went was partly

Mets in shoulder
My PET scan showed that the
pain
in my
shoulder
is bone Mets. I thought I’d torn something. I’ve been seeing a PT who’s specialty is athletic injury. He uses some deep massage and strengthening exercises. It helps for a while. Should I keep seeing him with bone mets

Week 7 Run 2
Week 7 run 2, Along the canal, and fairly flat, up quite early to run before it got too hot, but already weather station showing 19 degrees, at least the canal is quite sheltered. Managed to increase distance by about 100meters, not a lot but considering I forgot to take painkillers for stump beforehand

Zoladex and HRT
I was diagnosed with endo in 2021, it was removed from my abdominal wall but my pain never fully left. Just 4 months later my symptoms returned and the pain was as bad as it was pre-op. Here I am, 19 months later in significant daily pain. I am signed off sick from work for the 3rd week, and it seems

Enlarged Prostate Medication
Good afternoon. I’ve been recently diagnosed with enlarged prostate. My general health is not good as I had a Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair and also, last year was diagnosed with Heart Failure. I’ve also got Severe Spinal Stenosis which has returned following a Failed Laminectomy Spine Operation

?????? Help!!!
I didn't have a blood test or anything for my diagnosis, I had been experiencing
shoulder
pain
for 3 years previously. I have bulging discs in my cervical and lumbar spine due to trauma which could explain the neck and hip pain. Is there a test that can be done to either confirm or rule out PMR?

weight gain after stopping prednisone?
Worst symptoms of
shoulder
pain
were mollified and my rheumy had me taper 1mg/week. Other than the agitation and mood swings I didn’t have other typical prednisone side effects. I actually lost a couple of pounds through the treatment. I’ve been off prednisone for two weeks.

Nerve compression after surgery for Cauda Equina
Ho- just wondered if anyone had been through a similar thing. A relative had surgery for Cauda Equina which failed. She had had a new nerve compression- due to pressure from centralised disc - but she has been refused surgery despite the excruciating pain. She has tried several neuropathic painkillers

shoulder and arm pain after heart bypass
My friend had a quadruple bypass 4 weeks ago. He's had trouble with pins and needles in his arms and hands. The last 4 days a lot of pain in shoulders and arms which has lead to loss of sleep. He also has a cough. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Hi all, I live in Tasmania, Australia and do not have private health cover. I am 60 years old and have had rls since I was 21, that I know of. I have also been on antidepressants since 1980... I realky believe that they have caused the rls as no one in my family had it. Anyway, it became absolutely

ibs-d and facing surgery
I’m having a knee replacement on Wednesday and worried about my ibs-d as bad at the mo. I’m taking loperamide but worried that if I take too many with the combination of strong painkillers I’ll end up constipated. Also concerned that as im having an epidural I wont be able to feel if I need to go😩

Is codeine ok with prednisolone.
Foolishly went mad digging garden couple of weeks ago and upset my back....past slipped disc. Seeing pysio and doing all the right things and keeping pain killers to a minimum as even the paracetamol make me feel strange, light headed and upset digestive system. I am on omeprazole.
