Finally completed the program!
It took me a bit longer due to starting 'back to netball' too and getting
shin
splints
for overdoing it...but glad to say I made it. Need to keep it up now and not return to being lazy! Keep up everyone - sometimes it feels tough but it's worth it ... keep reminding yourself of how far you've come.

And to think 8 weeks ago I couldn't run!
But hey, I'm a plotter, slow and steady and I know I will make it, at least I don't get
shin
splints
or 'dead' feet anymore!

W3R2 - one pesky leg.
No
shin
splints
half way round. Buzzing. I thought I was going at a similar pace to the first time judging by where I was on the same path. But I think my last three minutes were way faster than they were last time.

Post July 4th Hangover...then waiting for a long week to end lol
Hey everyone! Brian here! Sorry I've been missing in action the last 7 to 10 days, but I've been doing a lot of travelling back and forth to doctor's visits. Living in a rural area is nice and all, but that also means nothing is close by. lol I have to make a 3 hour round trip to the main hospital

Shin splints?
Help! Lower right shin seems a tad painful, say 2/10. It doesnt seem bad enough to stop me from today's run (w6r2). Anyone else had this? Seems common complaint with new runners. Any advice would be much appreciated, but pleeeeeeze don't make me rest 😢

Decided to walk it off
Plus the
shin
splints
I felt coming up for two days now, on the same leg, also popped by. I walked it off and have just ordered compression socks. I do have short ones, but this body is not going to do me in, if I can help it. They arrive tomorrow, so well in time for my W4R2 of Wednesday.

Read up on it and think it’s probably
shin

but am gutted as haven’t run now since thurs last week and am desperate to get back to it. Any hints and tips as don’t want to wait weeks after getting so far, I can literally touch the end and I want that pretend certificate. Thanks all Zoe x

Looking to Week 5 Run 3
Worried about knees,
shin
splints
reoccurring and going out to fast. But really excited for Saturday as I think I'm ready. My main motivation for Saturday is that I'll feel I've earned the right to call myself a runner on completion.

From shin splints to hip flexors
One starts aching after about 25 mins, same leg that previously suffered from
shin
splints
. Are they related somehow?

My cramps are gone
I've been on Imbruvica for well over one year and I have often had some really bad cramps, mostly at night. Lately I have developed boils. I don't like to take antibiotics, so I thought that if i started self treating the boils they would go away. Ha! Was I wrong. One of my boil treatments was to soak

Shin splints?
Have read lots of info and think I have
shin
splints
in left leg. Had pain for over a week which is bearable once I get going but am worried I might be causing damage. Really don't want to stop now as on week 7 r2. Been advised to run on grass. Will it be more difficult running on grass?

Sorry for the unpleasant photo! My nails have become really ridged and pale. Not sure if can see the ridges in the photo, but the ridges are like a darker colour than the nail and weirdly my nails seem to have an almost purple band at the nail bed. Does anyone else have the same thing? Is there a reason

Chickenpox!
On my way to visit my grandchildren and have just been told they possibly have chickenpox! Now I had chickenpox as a child but wondered is it safe to be in contact with them whilst I’m on steroids. I have googled it but still unclear. Due to arrive with them tomorrow afternoon.
