cardiac arrest and brain injury - recovery
Hi, I am new here. My brother had cardiac arrest on July 25, and he is in ICU ever since. He was 19 days in coma, GCS 4, than raised to 5, he had no reflexes, no reaction to whatsoever, no pupil reaction or reaction to pain stimuli. Doctors were only saying to us that "miracles can happen, and that

Have you moved to help your asthma?
My husband and I are trying to figure out what to do now that wildfire smoke brings asthma attacks for me. He has two more years until he retires and we can move near the ocean, where the air tends to be cleaner. Two years of suffering in the summers is hard to contemplate. I suspect that might worsen

breathing test to see how I manage without my asthma meds
My consultant told me my
asthma
was
severe
but needed more investigation to rule everyhing else out. The clinician told me at the beginning of the test that I would have the test, then she would give me some salbutamol and then do it again.

Steroids and osteoporosis?
I've recently been discharged from hospital following a
severe
flare up of my
asthma
resulting in intubation in ITU and a 9 week stay, in which time I've been started on alendronic acid which is apparently for osteoporosis which can be caused by steroids which i have been on for 10 weeks (intravenously

Working with bouts of severe asthma
Has anyone found a legit way to work from home and make a reasonable living when asthma flares make it impossible to go to work for long soans of time. This makes independent living impossible. Any thoughts on housing?

How do I get them to take me seriously?
Firstly, I should mention that my
asthma
isn't
severe
, it's a moderate pain in the butt at the worst of times, but i've always managed: my issue at the moment is my family, I recently moved back in with my family after they decided they wanted to relocate.

Who to see.....?
So, I’ve decided it’s time to pay to see an asthma specialist to finally confirm or deny that I have asthma. Spiro says not... most doctors say no . 1 says yes and I have to avoid seeing her when I’m ill as she refuses anti b’s snd insists it’s asthma, even though I’ve ended up in a&e with pneumonia

DLA to PIP the filthy tactics by the DWP
I was devastated, I have had for the past 26 years

Reverse an Asthma Flare?
I'm wondering if anyone has successfully reversed an asthma flare and what steps you took to do so. Wildfire smoke has worsened my normally-mild asthma. I have a lot to learn about dealing with this condition. We purchased an air conditioner but need to check that the filter works against smoke. A particulate

Hi, I'm Marie Love. I have chronic asthma...I'm 54. I was diagnosed at 50 with COPD. I went for second opinion and did the hour long spirometry testing. My pulmonary doctor conclusion was chronic asthma. I'm still on same medications as I was when diagnosed earlier. I know asthma is part of COPD. I have
