Best times to take meds and vits
I'm taking 200mg thyroxine and 20mg citraplan (antidepressants) I also take
selenium
, magnesium, b12, vit d supplements. I am underactive and have hashimotos and going to see an endo in sept as ferritin too high, extreme shallow breathing, weight gain, tingling in hands and depressions.

Which selenium test - urine or blood?
Some success with the GP to report - they're going to test for T3 as well as T4 and TSH from now on - but no luck asking for a
selenium
test. They don't do them - the GPs at my surgery literally can't request them on their system!

Until recently, calcium and vitamin D were regarded as the main nutrients essential to bone health but now there are emerging roles for iron, copper and

But do you think it has gone up enough to think the
selenium
and inositol have helped or is it just a fluctuation. I also read on here about getting your vitamin d levels checked so i did and that came back at 31.6.

Weight Gain and the Intermittent Fasting Protocol
Tried loads of different supplements (magnesium,
selenium
, krill, multivits, berocca, liquid iron). Now, some of that may be the reason for the following but thought I would post this, as since last thursday I have also started intermittent fasting.

Adding T3 to T4 for the first time
I'm also taking a
selenium
supplement but I can't remember the dose, and I don't have it nearby. I read it is suggested to reduce T4 by 50mcg and add 10mcg T3 replacement, but I wonder as my TSH is a bit higher than I would like, I should stay at 150mcg T4 and just add the T3.

Do I have a conversion problem? Latest test results.
I am gluten and dairy free, supplement with B12, Vit D, Magnesium,
Selenium
, Vit K, B-right complex. I re-tested my ferritin and it's rising, not optimal yet but I'm happy it's headed the right way. So what do you lovely people suggest? Buying T3 off the 'net sounds terrifying!

"natural" treatment for mild hyperthyroidism
The dosage of
selenium
can range from 50 mcg to 100 mcg, it does not have to be 83 mcg. You could try carnitine between 250 mg to 500 mg. Please discuss with your health care provider before making any major changes.

New here and desperately need help with thyroid issues.
I'm taking
Selenium
, zinc, molybdenum, B12, folate, other B vits. and have just started iron. I'm trying to help my Adrenals. I feel so unwell and am totally on my own with this and finding it hard to cope with 'day-to-day' living.

Good T4 to T3 converter, or not
I have been taking
selenium
as I understand that
selenium
aids conversion but my latest tests shown in an earlier post indicate that a lower percentage has been converted...despite the
selenium
. I was expecting a higher percentage.

Is iodine useful to lift T4 levels
Presumably I need to also take
selenium
at the same time. I have and NHS doc appointment in August where I will take my results and hopefully get further meds as needed to increase the T4 (despite TSH being ok) I am very new to all this but increasingly eager to alleviate all my symptoms. Thanks.

How many of you had the Epstein-Barr Virus (aka Glandular Fever) or a viral episode before diagnosis. Check out this interesting article!

Vitamins information
Can anybody please tell if they have heard of thyroid support formula containing iodine and
selenium
. 2 to 3 capsules per day. And ocean kelp with iodine. 1 to 2 tablets per day. Can I take these to help my underactive thyroid.

Plan of attack for low T3 / Ferritin / B12
I don't take a
Selenium
supplement, nor have I checked those levels. I'd like to address this ASAP, of course, but I also don't want to mess up anything that might have long term consequences before seeing the endo (which could be ages away!).
