Hiya everyone, haven't posted on here before but feel like I need some support. I've had endometriosis since I was about 17, had my first laparoscopy in 2013 when I was 20. My symptoms began again about 6-7 months ago & have been referred back to a consultant, had a scan and an endometrioma was found

What does Pleural Scarring/Thickening mean?
I have anxiety & I've went to the ER many times over the past 10 years due to palpitations or anxiety related breathing issues, no telling how many Chest X-rays I've had but in 2012 one showed pleural thickening at the lung apices, my GP said it was capping "age related" or old scar tissue from past

Wound
Has anyone had their clips removed and had an area of wound come apart. This happened to me today and I'm now on daily doc visits. I'm disappointed that scar healing will delay chemo and I might end up with a less neat scar. What if it doesnt heal? Generally just worried because brain over analyses

Not AMD at all but scarring from looking at the sun???
I am a bit confused. I was diagnosed with AMD, age 55. Since then the ophthalmologist has been doing annual retinal scans and telling me it all looks stable. That was in Germany. Now seven years later I have returned to the UK and finally got a hospital appointment for them to continue the monitoring

Wound advice
After having a laparoscopy on thursday my partner was rushed in on Friday for emergency surgery. With everything that's be going on, I only last night studied my discharge papers from the hospital. I find they have put down a totally different procedure to what I had done, no wonder that I can't find

Schema therapy failed me
Hi, I'm a 40 year old BPD sufferer, just coming to the end of a disastrous two years of an NHS Schema therapy trial. If I didn't trust people before, I certainly don't trust people now. I feel very let down by the therapists I was assigned, one in particular has been extremely unprofessional throughout

I did have a CT scan and have a PET scan on Monday and they

Signed of work again!
Yesterday I went to see my gp and unfortunately I was signed of work again! As I suffer with electric shocks from my finger/thumb to my chest, the past few days or week I have been getting the electric shocks one after another which are very intense and so so strong.. It's like I'm sitting on the sofa

Pulmonary Fibrosis Hello I'm new here. Is there any one suffering from pulmonary fibrosis. Was diagnosed 5 years ago. Having been using oxygen since then as my breathing is very bad. I've just switched to liquid oxygen three weeks ago. I'm not sure if I did the right thing. Is anyone here on liquid

Our Street Fifty Years Ago...
Mr Moriarty called this afternoon...he was carrying an empty bag of Beef Finisher and a plastic dustpan. Stumped up the yard to where I was leaning over the half-door of my shed...wiping his brow and breathing heavily. He's very plump is Mr Moriarty. After we'd exchanged greetings and remarks about

Fingerprick blood test tips please!
Hi, following advice kindly given here, I bought a Blue Horizon Thyroid+10 test. The pack arrived and despite using all 3 lancets, I only managed to collect a drop of blood - around a third of the way up the label on the container. The lady at Blue Horizon said that wasn't enough, and another kit has

Blood blister after surgery
About 4.5 weeks after abdominal surgery, wound looked almost healed, then what looks like a blood blister has appeared. Oozing some blood and dark surrounding but no pain or warmth. Anyone else have this, and should I get it checked urgently?

Tyrosine, DLPA etc
I've been reading Julia Ross (The Diet Cure, The Mood Cure). She talks in the Mood Cure about several different amino acid deficiencies which can lead to mood disturbance. She talks about low norepinephrin causing lack of motivation and concentration. Her cure is Tyrosine. I've tried it and it seems

Wanting to want.
This post is kind of a mess. I just took thoughts and put them down as they came. The order didn't really matter and sometimes when it seems like I were about to wrap it up, something else came and I just put it down. So please excuse the mess I made and the self-loathing undertone the whole things has

Time off work and exercise after laparoscopy?
Hi everyone, I have just received a letter to give me a date for my laparoscopy which is on 6th May and I was wondering if anyone can give me a rough guide as to how long I would expect to be off work after the operation? I know everyone will be different depending on what they find but just an idea

Hi
I have been diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease, but awaiting scan results to determine if my consultants 'working diagnosis' of Ideopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is correct. If it's confirmed, what can I expect? Thanks.

Dan,. I had to go off my Butrans 20mcg patch because I was getting a skin reaction to it- red, raised rash and itching. My Dr. Put me on Belbuca 300mcg BID but they're very expensive so I asked him for something cheaper. He put me on Oxymorphone 10mg BID then and within a week I started having pretty
