Hi all.
Atrovent,
Salbutamol
and MucoClear3% etc.etc.... Although this is my first post, I have been following for some time. I really enjoy Vashti's wonderful accounts and Fred's jokes, hope he feels up to coming back soon, I wish him the very best.

What do you take for Chronic Bronchitis
I have a touch of both Asthma and an element of Chronic Bronchitis with normal airflows I am told. My 25-75 is slightly down and I suspect my volumes have increased but are in the normal range. My breathing is however not good and driving me mad. Can I just ask if there is anyone else here with a similar

Free Prescriptions for Asthmatics?
She is on Clenil 100, 2 puffs once a day, and a
Salbutamol
reliever which she rarely uses. I have known her for 6 years and not once has she needed Prednisolone. Asthma-wise, she has 4 prescriptions for Clenil and 1 reliever to fill each year.

Change of inhaler
Apparently I will need a
Salbutamol
(blue) inhaler too during the changeover. He is also scheduling an overnight study to check for Cheyne-stokes or Central Sleep Apnea & aspiration. For the first time since seeing this Consultant, I don't feel as though I'm being given the brush off.

Any Answers To My Problem?
Something else which it affects is my nebuliser...nothing is added to that apart from the medication...
salbutamol
and ipratropium bromide...I've noticed lime scale building up around the tubing where it enters the machine...

Stupidly i hadn't clocked that my nebules (Atravent and

First hospital admission - worried
I had 2
Salbutamol
and one atrovent neb plus additional steroids. These worked brilliantly. I was admitted to a ward as it was about 2 in the morning. At about 5 in the morning I deteriorated again and had
Salbutamol
and Atrovent back to back, narrowly avoiding Magnesium.

Easyhaler - Not so Easy
I was given a blue Easyhaler (
salbutamol
sulphate) as I've never taken an inhaler before and it is suppoed to be easy but I have found I have to take in such a harsh breath which is difficult when I am having trouble breathing. I wanted to know if anyone else has this issue?

Daughter in intensive care
She was on 50% oxygen via an airvo machine pumping warm o2 into her, iv hydrocotrizone,
salbutamol
and in the end it was the iv magnesium that stabilised her.

ventolin
I have always got the kindest replies to my questions, and I thank you. I have another question. Does anyone use a Ventolin or Pro air albuterol inhaler? If you do, how many times a day do you normally use it?

My Recent Hospital Visit!
I was now alone again, then it dawned on me that they had given me,
salbutamol
nebs, and was having a very bad reaction to them. When i told the sister they were matter of fact with me and I could not get out of that hospital quick enough.

New medicine Dulera
I was told by my physical therapist that Dulera would be a good inhaler for me. I requested it from the doctor and he gave me a prescription. I read the PDR and decided I do not want to take it due to side effects of osteoporosis, heart trouble, and many other possible side effects such as thrush. I
