How should I inhale my Salbutamol? Does how I inhale it make a difference?
I visited my surgery last week and saw one of the nurses - the appointment was to have a spirometry test. Because of a course of antibiotics I had had I was told that I would have to wait 4-6 weeks after the end of the course of antibiotics before having the test. Anyway, she chatted to me and

I spent most of the day sat watching films, as in I barely moved for about 6 hours! (I'm a student so it's allowed :P) One of my flatmates knocked on my door and said he'd

US Healthcare, I have Bronchiectasis, MAI, and Liver Disease
In the midst of our great country so many have no medical care. I am afraid to say that I have become one of them. I am saddened by the delay of helping me to get treatment. As some of you know I was diagnosed in Aug 2012. Took me until Dec. 2012 to see a Dr for my Bronchiectasis. It literally took

Officially 'severe'
Ive not been about through Lent, but during that time I saw my new consultant who has officially diagnosed me as severely asthmatic. Its strange, Ive been asthmatic since childhood but this feels likea new diagnosis and is taking time to get my head around. I am now on a suitcase of meds: Symbicort (

Smoking - COPD
I used to wonder when walking why is everyone ahead of me. I did notice I was a bit breathless but took no notice. I admit I loved my cigs and smoked up to 30 a day but have also been a big smoker for over thirty years. One day during a short walk I found that I was unable to move as I could not breath

New to asthma and attacks
Hi, I was recently diagnosed with adult onset asthma last Monday after a couple months with a lingering cough and difficulties with mucus and breathing. I'm actually in the US but this site seems to have quite a lot of good information on it. The symptoms I was having were a minor inconvenience until

Symbicort
I have been prescribed Symbicort to replace my Seretide, Qvar and Salbutamol. However, I have just read the information leaflet and it mentions that the powder does not have a taste I was just wondering if anyone else is on this inhaler. How do I know if I have taken my dose or not?

I av been diagnosed with adult onset asthma after years of exercise induced asthma. In june of last year, I was diagnosed with pneumonia, with a retrospective diagnosis of whooping cough.
