My new Neurologist says try Azilect. I'm doing fine...but
So, now I've started being monitored by a renowned movement disorder doctor and he says I should switch from Sinemet to
Rytary
for longer periods of control. But first I have to take Azilect for a few weeks.

Rytary
The manufactures released
Rytary
as an 8 hour medication but in the real world it seems its time span is closer to 4 to 4.5 hours. The manufacturer is aware of the results now that they are getting tons of feedback.

Dyskinesia
I changed to
Rytary
about a year ago and have had very even control. (10 per day of 36.25/145.) I have arrived recently in the "land of dyskinesia". I have had periods of uncontrollable movements of head, jaws, teeth, and upper body that I could only describe as a seizure in slow motion.

Hurrah For Rytary
When my husband could not get to the next dose of carbo/levo without a bad down time, the Dr. prescribed
Rytary
. He takes two pills at 6:30 a.m. 10:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. He no longer has any problem walking, slowly but surely. He is diagnosed 15 years now so this is a blessing.

More about Rytary Please
I will see my neuro in August and am wondering if i should suggest a switch from Stalelvo 100 to
Rytary
. The reason is because of the dyskinesia which I thought maybe would be less with
Rytary
since the meds are spread out more evenly. Has anyone who is on it found that it reduces dyskinesia?

Just beginning Rytary
It appears that it takes patience and perseverance to get adjusted to
Rytary
, but PD has already cultivated those skills. Send us some prayers and good vibes, as we will do the same.Â

Gastroparesis
The clenched was the
rytary
. Â I took it last spring and almost ended up in the er. Since then the intestinal spasms have gotten worse. Â Now we believe I have gastroparesis. I have followed heathers tummy tamers for living with ibs. Â It had worked until our dog had to be put to sleep.

Rytary success stories
I have been hearing of more success with
Rytary
use. I have been giving a sample starter supply but have been reluctant to try it because I tend to have negative responses to most drugs.... the nocebo effect. Anybody have response to trying it?

Rytary for DBS
I decided to try
Rytary
and haven't found the right dosage yet. A bit of trial and error is needed in most cases. I'd like to know if anyone who had a successful DBS is using
Rytary
. I have not found any indication that it has been tested in DBS patients.

Rytary off to a shaky start
A survey I did of over 50 reports on using
rytary
that I found on this forum and a similar U.S. forum showed lots of problems. None of the
rytary
users were as happy with it as I have been with my switch from the regular carbidopa-levodopa to the pre-existing extended release version.
