Finally did it, a year later
The second half was even quite enjoyable and I paced myself using the NRC 10k race app and a Spotify 10k
running
mix which worked for me. Crossed the line in 69.24mins which was about 5 mins better than I thought I’d achieve.

Back on that horse
My bike managed to get me home, but it was two weeks before I was putting on the
running
shoes again! Happily, I can report that yesterday's run was shortish and uneventful. I'm back in the saddle! A flamboyance of flamingoes!

3 years post STEMI and CA but I have an odd question
Over the last few weeks I’ve been getting what I can only describe as a lack of sensation in both my hands while

As usual I was accompanied by Jo, one of the ladies from our local
running
group who’s doing the runs just for the sake of it. 😛 Timing was appalling - the route uses the same path as the start of the local park run, but in the opposite direction.

W5 R3 - Where did that come from?!

. Didn't see that one coming. Even Jo Wylie seemed a bit embarrassed asking me to do it! Total torture. But... I did it... just. The last bit was uphill and I was begging for the music to cut out and Jo to say 'slow down and relax'.

Struggle with heat and humidity
It’s been so hot and humid here (mid 30s and 69% humidity) I’ve been getting up at first light (6:01) and
running
for 30 minutes rather than distances. While at home I’d cover 6km in that time, here I’m struggling to get over 5.5km and average times per km also slow.

W3R1 - BH morning run
So I put on my

clothes, set up NHS podcast for week 3 and hoped I will be able to run twice as much as last week. Me and my lurcher doggy go out from the door and started warm up walk and getting all the doggy business out of the way.
