W8 R2 Eventually Complete 🙂
After completing W8 R1 over two weeks ago I injured my back (non
running
related) which meant I was barely walking never mind
running
. I tried to repeat W8 R1 last Friday but only managed 22 mins due to bad left hip pain, which I have never had before.

coughing up blood
I’ve also started
running
again and was so short of breath today and thought I’d have to ring an ambulance but thankfully that settled. This is so not like me as I’m really quite fit and try and cycle to work as much as possible. Just want to see what your thoughts are? Thank you HC 🐓

Week 5, runs 1 and 2. A jog is still a run
I went down with a sinus infection and any
running
was out of the question. So.. this week, better, but still shattered and seriously wondering whether this
running
idea was just ridiculous and impossible. Luckily a few posts on here put me straight. I gave myself a good talking to.

Welcome to the Forum and to
running
. To get you off to a great start we advise some simple stretching & flexing to avoid the niggly aches when we are not used to using these muscles.

Update
I left it a couple of days and then ran 5k which I did find hard, especially in my legs but I did run my fastest 5k to date at just over 31 minutes I will be keeping to my usual activities this week which is a mixture of swimming,
running
and yoga/pilates and then have an easier week next week in

Almorr 70 minutes pacer
This is a photo of Lorraine the 70 minute pacer who helped me get a sub 70 minutes time of 1:09:22 at the Cumbernauld 10K on Sunday, that's me behind her #212
running
along the side of Broadwood Loch a little less than 3 kilometers before the finishing line.

Toe nail injury
I don’t think I’ll be
running
for at least a couple of weeks surely - certainly can’t until the damaged nail comes off. Does anyone have any tips or experiences to share?

W7 R3 completed 🎉
Not been
running
since parkrun last Saturday so I couldn’t wait to get going. This week I signed up to do a 5k run for Hope House charity, something I’d never think of doing before C25k! I’m proud of myself for signing up ☺️ 6 runs left of the program 🫢 Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Waiting ‘impatiently’ for my next run - on the IC for now.
so I’ve joined a kayaking and paddle boarding club which I am going to twice a week to keep me busy, still doing my yoga and stretches and praying I can get back to
running
soon.

Easy like a Sunday morning
I am definitely of the opinion that for me, a still, clear early morning is the optimal time for
running
. How much of this plays into my head I don’t know, I reckon quite a lot of
running
is more about the head than the legs ( although they help!)

Lost Mojo... if found please return ASAP
I have been
running
, but not the amount or the mileage that I had been doing ( in fairness to me, I have had a niggle in my shins following a fall ) Advice ( or a massive kick up the a$%e) would be greatly appreciated.

CHANGING-ROOM CHAT. WEEK 4. Welcome. There is a voice that does not use words. Listen.
We start slowly, we hold back, trying not to spend too much cash on
running
gear, in case we don't enjoy it, and we take it steadily until, suddenly almost, without us realising it,
running
is a part of us. We look forward to our runs, we look forward to each new week of the plan.

Walking certainly played a part in this !
And a lot of that journey has involved many miles of walking (and MAF
running
) But just wanted to share some good news ! I had an interim assessment with the diabetes clinic yesterday carried out on a telephone appointment. The result of which was a alteration to my medical records which now show.
