Week 3 run 1 done!
I had a lovely time
running
towards it, but when the halfway bell rang and I turned for home, I realised that it was all uphill & against the (considerable) wind - nightmare! So today I did week 3 run 1 and DID NOT go this way.

Ha! I get another week running 😂
My cataract op has been put back a week because I'm on antibiotics. My first thought isn't printable, but then I got all excited about having another week to do all the things I want to do, 😁.My daughter's first words were "You can come to Parkrun with us." , see we are both optimistic women. Run happy

Mindful run
Haven't posted for a while as over last 3 weeks life intervening and only
running
once a week. I'm not going to beat myself up about this. Yesterday though optimal, no icy patches, no long days work, no other commitments.

5k lead 👢 👢 boots
Done this before so it's getting the hard yards in before everything returns to normal and I feel comfortable
running
again 😌 also I ran the tough local parkrun course but that's not an excuse

I've been
running
since 2014. Currently
running
16km on sunday, 9km tuesday, 9km thursday. I have three pairs of
running
shoes, and use one pair for each of the 3
running
days.

C25K Newbie
I never thought that I of all people would be joining a
running
programme again, let alone achieve a 5K. It is some 10 years ago now that I did do a 5K and I hated it.

5k reclaimed 🥳
I have been merrily working my way back through C25K and consolidating over the last months after having quite a long gap in my
running
. 2 weeks ago I ran 5k again for the first time in ages. It was absolutely brilliant!

Week 1 complete
bit at the end of run 3 this morning, nothing too bad, but I think an extra week doing week 1 will help me adapt before increasing the
running
time. :)

Parkrun!
As the kms passed, I found we were overtaking a few people, and despite
running
at a sub-7m/km average pace, which is much faster than my usual pootle (at least 25 seconds per km faster), I felt ok! Such is the energy that
running
at these events gives.

repeat prescription via NHS app
I used to order two weeks before
running
out but the surgery got funny about it and said I can only order a week before
running
out so I make sure I order on day 20.

New vlog/Dr Dr site - important statistic but not to do with OC survival
Everywhere I look I see people
running
the marathon, organising a campaign, going on TV, all to raise awareness for prostate cancer. But awareness of this couldn't be higher. And survival rates, tests, treatments, all great. 99% of men with PC will survive for 5 years, even if it's Stage IV.
