NSTEMI and BP / Heart Rate
Ordinarily my resting HR is now mid/high 40's - 50's/60's when walking and higher when exercising
running
etc.... But continually wonder what happens to HR when NSTEMI type incident is happening? Any insight welcome . Stay warm and well everyone. A

Was so excited but then sort of fell out of love with
running
and stupidly stopped 🤬. Life got better so I started again and remembered why I enjoyed it so much. Graduated again a couple of weeks ago and have done 6/7 consolidation runs.

Coronation Street!
What the heck has coronation street got to do with
running
? Well, quite a lot this morning. I've struggled with my
running
all year and I know it's all in my head. Life wasn't kind last year and I've let it overwhelm me. Here's where Coronation Street comes into it's own.

Why your speed isn't important
I've not been
running
5k regularly so didn't want to use all my energy at once. By the end of the first km I was in a decent rhythm and
running
at maybe a 5/10 effort as planned. The second km was easy. The Toxic 10 was out of the way.

Week 9 Run 1 Completed
A lot of the tips are about taking it easy and not
running
to fast. Doing each km in between 5minutes 30 and 6 minutes. Is that a good pace or too fast for a novice . Caught up with a
running
club the other night and thought I couldn't run as slow as that. Wouldn't feel natural

Dropping like flies ...
I haven't been
running
for the last fortnight, and after visiting the physio today about my sore achilles heel, it is going to be at least another 2-3 weeks before I can think about
running
again. It was hinted that it could be even longer but I really don't want to think about that.

Are you a Hot 🔥 or Cold ❄️ Runner ?
Although weirdly when not
running
I seem to always be wearing a couple more layers than everyone else. So my question is do you run hot 🔥 or cold❄️ PS Thanks for all your fascinating replies to my last post, I loved reading them all.

One of those days where you just want to quit
I got up and forced myself downstairs to the
running
gear that my past self had considerately prepared the night before. I begrudgingly forced myself into it and had another mental check-in. *still would rather be in bed* Okay, it's all good.

Being injured is Sooooo frustrating
Roll forwards another period of time and
running
although painful was now possible, even if the outcome was uncomfortable. I’ve had to change my
running
gate and I kept my distance to maybe 3km. I can’t believe how quickly my
running
fitness has deserted me.

Run for sanity... (Reason #955)
Keep it enjoyable on at least some level - challenges are great motivators, but there are times when just going out the door can be the beginning and end of the challenge...and the run itself the payoff, not it's conclusion 'Just
running
' made for a great
running
day today.

🍏The unexpected
How life can change overnight… however if
running
has taught me one thing, it’s this… it doesn’t always go to plan… so find a way through! I will! Watch this space….

And now week 5’s complete
Anyway, I quite enjoyed
running
in the rain and all of a sudden I was facing to 20 minute run next. Went out this morning, had my little
running
buddy back and enjoyed the final run of week 5. Hopefully week 6 will be as enjoyable. The picture is Tia on Friday when she decided to stay home.

How do I get faster?
I'm in my mid 60s, so I know it's unlikely I'm ever going to do 5K in 30mins, but I'd like to feel that I'm not just crawling along, I want to feel that I'm at least
running
! My time at the mo is around 44mins. So, question is, how can I get a bit faster please?
