He’s been in hospital for most of that time (he’s still there) as he was suffering from agitation and delirium which has been more under control since being put on

“How Does Deep Brain Stimulation Change the Course of Parkinson's Disease?”
One example are axial motor symptoms such as gait impairment and freezing of gait for which low frequency stimulation, drugs (eg,
rivastigmine
), or physiotherapy may provide relief. Therefore, DBS will continue to evolve, leading toward enhanced efficacy and safety.

Rivastigmine question
Rivastigmine
improves mental function (such as memory and thinking) by increasing the amount of a certain natural substance in the brain. My husband is using the
Rivastigmine
patch. For 5 months he was taking 4.6, the lowest dosage. For 7 months he took 9.5 (mid dose).

Rivastigmine (improvement?)
The doctor increased
Rivastigmine
to help with cognitive functions. We went from 4.6 mg patch to 9.5 mg patch. We started the new dosage last Saturday so it’s only been a week. I hadn’t noticed a change in behavior or mood but a strange thing happened this morning.

Love em moments
They are increasing Levodopa for stiffness and after a few weeks they’ll increase
Rivastigmine
for cognitive issues. I’m posting this because a beautiful thing happened. Well, it was actually horrible for me.

Does Exelon (rivastigmine) have sedative effects?
He has been on Exelon (
rivastigmine
) transdermal patches for a year or so now and we were told that they are supposed to slow down the progress of the disease. He sleeps most of the day and often looks as if he is fighting to stay awake.

9th year of psp
We have found excellent results in slowing the disease and easing symptoms with: Exelon Patch (
Rivastigmine
), Mucuna Pruriens (plant based l-dopa) and Amino Acid therapy. At 9 years, he can no longer walk or stand on his own, and his cognition is up and down.

Delusions and hallucinations with Lewy Body Dementia
Currently she is on
Rivastigmine
patches 4.6mg which is the maximum she can tolerate and I have started her slowly on a Thiamine protocol after seeing details on here from Mr Costantini, although he hasn't tried it with LBD it is worth a shot!

Rivastigmine
Does anyone have any familiarity or firsthand experience with this drug? My doctor prescribed it in the form of a patch, but I balked when I read the circular. The possible side effects sound pretty serious. I had complained about a dramatic slow-down of mental functioning -- calculating accurately,

Excessive Sleepiness, almost comatose

Dealing with RLS in a hospital setting
He's now been given
rivastigmine
for confusion, iron pills and an IV iron infusion for anaemia (only discovered a week ago) and melatonin, (which doesn't seem to be helping yet in the sleep department). Any ideas for what we might try next? He can't take dopamine agonists.

Hopeful
Today John has taken his first dose of
Rivastigmine
. he was described it to see if it will help his thoughts process .. so my fingers and toes are crossed for a good result , although I am not holding my breath . My main concern is that he might get nasty side effects .

Has anyone used a rivastigmine patch?
I had a memory test the other week and the result was not very good. The doctor suggested that I start using a rivostigmine patch. I am not very keen, having looked up the side effects, particularly nausea and vomiting, anxiety and possible kidney/liver damage. I am awaiting the results of a CT scan.
