Customs Charge on my B12!!
Hi guys I am in shock!! Just reordered my B12 from Apohealth in Germany as I usually do. It is held in Customs until I pay £37.95 in Import VAT and an £8 handling charge! Anyone else experienced this?? Not only will the NHS not help me I am now expected to pay VAT on the LUXURY of self treatment

Latest results and my plan...
Hello I am symptomatic of low B12 and/or Hypothyroidism. GP isn't concerned and advised me to take B12 supplements, but will retest Thyroid in 6 months time. My plan is to raise B12, Ferretin, Foltate, and Vit D to the top 25% of range and then see how I feel and redo TFTs. I am happy to pay

TSH post levo raise - how low can you go?
Hello again, I've been on a mini trial of raising my levo by 12.5mcg / day for 8 weeks in hope of raising T3 and losing a bit of weight. Is TSH of 0.13 (0.27-4.2) too low? I feel great and weight has been going down gently. The Dr's report from Medichecks says only if I experience overactive symptoms

Low B12 levels
it’s not an area I know much about with a B12 level of 433 (187-833) would I qualify for B12 injections?

Hashimoto’s
hi all I found my way here from Thyroid UK. I have just been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. I’m 59 and pretty fit so I have had a low heart rate for a while now but I noticed (through my Apple Watch) that it was dipping lower than normal every now and again. I was lucky to be seen by a fabulous locum when

I am in the throws of reading Chris van Tulleken's book Ultra-Processed People. It has been an eye opener. Not that one hasn't been aware of the harms of processed food but perhaps one has been unaware at how extensive it is and also how seemingly malicious for corporate gain? What does come out is

Links between vaping and B12 deficiency?
Just wondering if anyone has come across any information about vaping being linked to B12 deficiency? I know that there's an established link between the recreational use of nitrous oxide and severe neurological symptoms leading to a ban last month. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/nitrous-oxide-ban

Prednisolone and osteopenia
Hi I had a Dex scan a few weeks ago and my bone density showed I have osteopenia, I was given calcium and vitamin D tablets to take twice a day. So would it help if I drank milk to help to augment this as I don't have milk normally but have yogurt. Thank you in advance for any replies. Peter.

Naturally high vitamin B12
I have had a few tests over the last few years which include Vitamin B12. I am worried that I may not be transporting it to cells as it is very high fir someone does not take supplements. See photo? Everything I question this the doctor just says we'll that's good isn't it. Is it? From what I read

14 year old is stealing money from family
Hello, My 14 year old was diagnosed with ADHD back in December 22. He went into a outpatient program for cannabis use and depression, where they also diagnosed him with ADHD. I have recently figured out that he's stealing money from my wallet, my husband's wallet and just yesterday from his Aunt who

Reassurance about taking T3 during pregnancy
Hi All I’m just looking for some reassurance if anyone else has continued on T3 during pregnancy. When I tested positive my ft4 was 17.5 (12-22) but my ft3 tanked from 4.4 to 3.1(3.1-6.8) and all my hypo symptoms were terrible. (Previous ft4 was17.1 and ft3 4.4 so I was still probably under medicated

Need your advice, pls, what should I take and how?
Hey all, I've been on a bit of a journey, unwell for the past few years, diagnosed 2012, did awesome on thyroid meds until...I didn't. Since I have now all cofactors optimal (vit D, B12, folate, iron, ferritin - after iron IV, magnesium), I feel my problem either stems from cortisol issues or balance
