I feel that due to prednisone and MTX, most of my symptoms when I have a cold or another respiratory tract infection are very subtle. Mostly, I only feel a cough and a congested nose in the morning.

Hi everyone, ive got a respiratory tract infection develop and started to use the antibiotics from my rescue pack yesterday due to what looks like infected sputum and feeling diabolical. But Im not sure if i am meant to take the steroids as well.

GP seemed to think it was an upper respiratory tract infection caused by a virus. This is probably the case as my voice has now returned to normal. But after a 5 day course of 40 mg Prednisone my chests still tight and waking me from my sleep which is worrying me.

Hi, have just returned from holiday and somehow contracted proverbial cough/cold which appears to be presently doing the rounds. Having AF (taking beta blockers, BP tabs, apixaban) am aware cannot use over the counter medicines. Apart from paracetamol, can anyone recommend alternatives please.
