Wife passing from decompensated cirrhosis complications
My wife and I were moderate drinkers for many years. My wife, like many people, had a phobia of going to the doctors and had not had an annual check up for 26 years! She was incredibly healthy. Hardly ever had a sniffle and on no meds. I am a clinical pharmacist and am well aware of signs of liver

14 Studies from the 1950s about T3-Only for All Sorts of Chronic Issues
These studies used T3 to benefit everything from mental issues, to gastrointestinal problems, to infertility, to poor performance in school. One study even used T3 with one-year-olds. Pretty remarkable results. I've included links for each study. - Tittle (1956). Effects of 3,5,3’ l-triiodothyronine

I am new
I was diagnosed with epilepsy at 12 and am now 59. I have two daughters with fetal valproate spectrum disorder. I have coped fine with epilepsy, I was young enough for me to learn to walk in step with it. My mum always stressed about it, as when I was diagnosed, the Doctor told her that he had hoped

PSMA PET Scan - What To Expect
I just received my 3rd injection of
Radium
223
. My PSA is still 9 but my ALP has dropped from 178 to 58 which seems very encouraging. My MO at Phoenix Mayo just asked me to have a PSMA Pet Scan versus my normal Bone scan and CT scan. My mets are only in my bones.

#2 Update: Adrenal Testing
This afternoon (12.45) I had the blood draw for: Adrenal auto-antibodies, Aldosterone, Renin, Potassium & Sodium. I've also had a short Synacthen test. Stop The Thyroid Madness (For better, for worse) insist that salt is restricted the day before Aldosterone testing and that the arm is held at a perpendicular

MCT Oil
in another thread someone posted today about MCT oil. I hadn’t heard of this and have tried to research it. It seems to be useful in a variety of situations and claims include support in weight gain, increased energy, constipation t and pain relief. Really it sounds a bit of a ‘cure all’. I’m wondering

#1: The Start
Following the example of Clarebear I've decided to document my thyroid-adrenal journey on here in hopes it'll keep me accountable, and also may serve some after me. After a long, complicated history of no diagnosis, followed by lithium treatment, then prolonged time spent on T4 with no improvement,

potassium level
I recently had bloodwork done. My sodium is at very bottom of range.( 135) it always has been. My potassium is 3.7 with a range of 3.5-5.5. I have tended to be around 4 or a tad higher. A year ago I was 3.8. I have been injecting every 3 weeks for a year and a half. Do I need more potassium? I know it

Hi friends, i’ve been wearing t maskers every night (hearing aids with Beltone app white noise), otherwise i cant sleep. My dr gave me 2 100mg gabapentine and 5mg valium to take at night. I’ve been doing this for a month or so but the T is even louder, had to take half a zopiclone at 2am last night.

Skunk why do people spend everything.
I used to stick up for this drug thinking it was harmless. It's OK if you can afford this habit. Those who can't are barely living rather they go without their borrowing off me and its putting them in financial trouble. So after I get the back ( which I know I will ) I'll be only lending a third of

Concerned about ?asthma symptoms, what is significant and what is not
Hi hope everyone is ok. Just looking for some opinions and advice really as I am confused when it comes to my breathing. If you are in a bad mood or not feeling very patient the below might annoy you but I am just trying to be honest and describe my experience. Basically for the past 12 years since

Salt - serum sodium
I have just had my two monthly blood test. Whilst my ESR and CRP are within the normal range my serum sodium is 130mmol/L. (133 - 146.00mmol/L). It has been like this for the past year or so and everyone has ignored it 'til now. I am not one for pills unless I really need them like prednisolone. Can

Sodium
Hello all, just wondering if anyone would know if a slightly low Sodium Level in your Blood can contribute to triggering an AF attack, thank you. John

Anyone experience ectopics(Extra beats) with pain when anxious, stressed or intake stimulants? or is it just me?
I noticed that when I'm stressed or anxious, or have had sodium or coffee(even decaf) as too much of that even since it contains some caffeine..I get ecopics but mine are NOT skipped beats but extra beats and they are sometimes less noticeable, then some are more noticable and then some are painful..

Zofigo RA223 Seems To Be Working - PSA Still 9
Hello warriors: I am about to have my third injection of
Radium
223
. So far so good. I have some fatigue but try to ignore it and press on with exercise, swimming, walking, lifting weights and playing golf. I think the Lupron and the 6 months of Chemo did more to the stamina than the RA 223.
