I am new here...
A couple of days later I started a 5 day course of
radiotherapy
for my back, although there was no cure, just to hopefully slow it down. 2 weeks later I was allowed home. What was our dining room had now become my bedroom, with a hospital bed; commode; wheelchair and zimmer frame.

Radiotherapy Mask Fitting Today.
Hello everyone, hope all feeling positive, it's hard though all the time. Went to Salford Royal today for mask fitting. They soften the stuff they use and moulded it to my face, if you suffer from panic attacks I would think it's quite scary, because it's locked to the CT scan couch! They asked me to

Zytiga vs Xtandi
November of 2020 PSA was noted at 4.5. 6 months later it was 32 then quickly up to 46. Biopsy graded out at GL9. PSMA found metastasis on the sacrum and multiple lymph nodes in pelvic and abdominal area. Started Lupron in October and radiation therapy in January 2022. One oncologist likes Zytiga over

Call out to liver cancer patients who have received SIRT
The British Liver Trust is currently campaigning on behalf of liver cancer patients – specifically we want to improve access to minimally invasive cancer therapies. We are keen to hear from patients who have received selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) who would be willing to tell their story

Why not brachytherapy for PCa infected lymph nodes? The study below was not for PCa but was fairly successful.

Fit and well and a bummer that he has to have
radiotherapy
, he has some incontinency due to damage to one nerve at operation and further treatment can cause him to be fully incontinent which being fit and active will be devastating.

Has anyone been involved in a clinical trial with osmertinib? It’s an option for my dad or have chemo/radiotherapy concurrently.
My dad has stage 3b lung cancer with PDL1 positive and edfr, a rare mutation. He’s a non smoker and we need to choose between chemo/ radio then surgery or a clinical trial (computer randomly assigns either osmertinib tablets only or osimertinib + chemo or osimertinib + placebo) and then surgery to remove

Iron storage and use
My cancer and treatment have brought me to the point where I'm anemic. My hemoglobin is at 8.2 g/dl, and my serum iron at 21 mg/dl. At the same time my ferritin is 1295 ng/ml. My body is storing the iron in ferritin, rather than using it to create blood cells. I understand that this is seen with cancer
