New Mets, PSA 0.4
He had a scan and one spot detected on his rib so he was recommended to try
radiotherapy
! Please let me know your thoughts, what do you think it’s happening to my dad based on you experience, is his cancer morphing to small cell? Is it becoming Castration-resistant prostate cancer?

No more enzalutamide: docetaxel next up
Also got a new lesion in my thoracic spine so in addition to docetaxel, a single dose of
radiotherapy
. Hope that will all be underway within a couple of weeks. Some fear for a while about the meds not working and progression but feeling more confident about the treatment plan now thankfully.

Sacral Insufficiency Fractures
So I went away thinking it couldn't possibly be linked to the
radiotherapy
. It took over six months and several appointments with nurse practitioner, GP, 3 different types of physio and finally a scan to diagnose Sacral Insufficiency Fractures that were definitely linked to the
radiotherapy
.

Chemotherapy
Followed by 6 Fec-T Chemotherapy Sessions and 15
Radiotherapy
Sessions. Whilst the chemotherapy is a dreadful treatment to have to endure and can have lasting permanent effects (I have neuropathy in my legs and feet and my hair has returned thinner).

A lumpectomy and
radiotherapy
. I also saw my heart surgeon today who says he is happy with my progress , considering the team thought my brain wouldn't survive the CABG. I have plenty to be positive about..! Naturally I'm upset but I'll rise to this new challenge! 💪💪💪💪💜💜💜💜

Nocturia
Ever since my
radiotherapy
and brachytherapy 2 months ago I have been suffering nocturia, sometimes being forced awake 5 times a night by a painful call and having little or no product when staggering once again to the toilet for a little dribble.

radiotherapy
for oligo metastatic prostate cancer Which included radiation of distant metastatic lymph nodes, as well as the prostate and local pelvic lymph nodes?

5 day blastocyst - negative results 9dpt
My daughter was born 2016 and after that had to finish chemo and
radiotherapy
which put me into menopause age 27. fast forward 10 years and I’ve thawed my 3 eggs, 2 fertilised and one made it to a 5 day blast. My beta is tomorrow but still testing clearly negative 😞.

In the UK Olaparib only seems to be available for those testing positive for BRCA. Is this a cost issue that it is not widely available?
He has not had chemo yet - only
radiotherapy
at the outset. Awaiting bone scan and ct results but I have a feeling that things are changing with fatigue levels falling off a cliff and pain in L2 region of spine where there is a tumour. He has had no bone pain at all up until now.

Incoming Newbie!
I was told that there could be a slight chance I might need
radiotherapy
and an even slighter chance of chemo. I don’t have an appointment date to discuss results yet. Well, that’s me in a nutshell.

Prostate cancer treatment and IBS
I've been diagnosed with prostate cancer and have the option of removing the prostate or
radiotherapy
with or without hormone treatment. Can anyone out there who has experience of these offer advise on their impact on IBS and bowel function?

mHSPCa with undetectable PSA - chemo-only?
"Among Gleason 8–10 patients treated with
radiotherapy
, androgen deprivation therapy was associated with a survival benefit for PSA >2.5 ng/ml (AHR 0.87; p 2.5 ng/ml (p = 0.046), with no such relationship for Gleason ≤7 disease.
