What do you think?
Hi everyone, I had a Bone scan yesterday and commented that my Dr put me on Alendronic tablets back in August and although I questioned her at the time she reassured me I needed them. The hospital were very surprised as they suggested Dr should have waited for Bone scan results as Adcal would be sufficient

In conclusion, antihypertensive drugs are associated with increased risk of PCa death and starting of ADT after
radical
prostatectomy
. An exception are ATR-blockers which are associated with better PCa survival and lowered risk of starting ADT.

New PSMA ligand treatment with less side effects than Ac225?
I am in a mental quandary. After reading a out xerostomia(dry mouth, often permanent), I am seriously considering cancelling the Ac225 and just going with a prostatectomy along with having more APCEDEN vaccines made. Have been stable for 2 full years confirmed by PSMA PET scans now using the vaccines

The definition of SECOND biochemical recurrence (after prostatectomy AND salvage radiation)
While there is a standard definition of biochemical recurrence (BCR) after prostatectomy (i.e., confirmed PSA ≥ 0.2 ng/ml), there is a confusing array of definitions of biochemical recurrence (BCR) after salvage radiation (SRT). I'm not sure that we're ready for a standardized definition yet.

From incontinence to an artificial urinary sphincter.
This is my first post here. I had a prostatectomy just over three years ago. The removal of my prostate solved three problems and created two more. Gone was the urinary retention and trouble urinating. Also gone was the prostate cancer. What I got were the two side effects from a prostatectomy, erectile

Low-serum testosterone and high-chromogranin A are associated with high-grade prostate cancer and higher pathological stages of the disease.
All the patients underwent
radical
prostatectomy
. RESULTS: We subdivided the sample into two homogeneous groups, Group A with Gleason score ≤7 (3+4), and Group B with Gleason score ≥7 (4+3).

THC Cannabis
Hi all, Currently watching an interesting prog on BBC2 about medical cannabis and it’s sent me on an internet hunt for things relating to cannabis and asthma treatment. I’ve read that THC (as opposed to CBD) is best for calming asthmatic lung spasms, backed up by this study which actually found CBD to

SRT Treatment for Prostate Cancer
I had a prostatectomy 3 years ago since then psa has climb to .09. I was thinking of putting off SRT until reaching .2 I am concerned about the potential side effects of radiation. My pathology was G6 pt2c with positive margins at right apex and right lateral. Decipher score was .38 low risk. Any thoughts
