Retrograde Ejaculation
Has anyone else had problems with retrograde ejaculation after a
radical
prostatectomy
? I was prescribed Flomax, but I think that only makes it worse. After orgasm I feel like I have a urinary tract infection and have to pee small amounts of urine every 10 minutes, sometimes for hours!

Would any members please comment about how to interpret doubling time data. Prostatectomy in Jan 2012. Recurrence in Jan 2016 @ 0.2. Current PSA is 5.70 Using all 23 measures since recurrence gives time of 9.09 mos. Using last 12 months gives time of 8.77 mos. Using last 9 months give time of 11.2

What are your experiences with medicinal marijuana?
Hey guys I am new here. I was diagnosed Stage 4 here in Thailand almost 3 years ago. I'm going home to Florida at the end of July to continue treatments there. Since my home state of FloriDUH has medical marijuana, I was wondering what people's experience with it was other than the obvious feeling

RP v. RT ... yet again
Studies show that men are more likely to opt for RT (radiation therapy) if they first go to an oncologist, whereas men are more likely to opt for RP (
radical
prostatectomy
) if they first see a urologist.

Does radiation/brachytherapy prevent my use of insulin pump, which radiation can damage?
I plan to have da Vinci
radical
prostatectomy
next. If I eventually need radiation or brachytherapy, would this impact the use of my insulin pump? In other words, how far from a radioactive brachytherapy seed does radiation travel after it is implanted?

Any suggestions about choosing a surgeon?
My dad has decided to opt for
radical
prostatectomy
. Do you have any specific surgeon in the UK that you would recommend? I am not quite certain about the criteria for choosing the best surgeon. Does the positive margin rate come first for consideration?

Penile Biothesiometry?
Seems like the perfect way to monitor, measure, and track the progress of "nerve healing" following a
radical

. Penile biothesiometry: This test involves the use of electromagnetic vibration to determine sensitivity and nerve function.

0.53 post prostatectomy
Asking on behalf of my brother Gerry who isn't computer literate. We live in Canada. About this time last year, my brother had radiation, post prostatectomy. His numbers have been going up with each blood test. He just called and said his newest number is 0.53 and the oncologist told him that he can

UCLA is expanding access to the Ga-68-PSMA-11 PET scan
They have announced expanded access to the PET scan until the FDA approves it, hopefully by this summer. The PET scan is available to all patients with diagnosed prostate cancer. The prices differ slightly according to the patient's current situation. The current wait time for appointments is 2-3 weeks

Does this study which predicts BCR for all post RP guys with a uPSA of 0.03 or higher apply to intermediate and low-risk RP guys also?
This factor enables critical decisions on the timing of and indication for postoperative radiotherapy in patients at high risk after

prostatectomy

Is the risk of BCR 50% for post RP guys with a uPSA of 0.01 as this study suggests?
MATERIALS AND METHODS: We identified 247 patients at high risk with a median followup of 44 months who underwent
radical
prostatectomy
from 1991 to 2013. Each patient had extraprostatic extension and/or a positive margin.
