Struggling
Hello ladies, I’ve had a bad night. I’m struggling because I want to have a double mastectomy and my husband and son does not agree. I’m on Ibrance and Letrozole I do Lupron shots and xygevia shots once a month. My husband keeps saying it’s too radical bc I’m on the meds and will continue to be so

Starting next week I am having to do a 2 week pre operation diet. This consists of either 4 pints of semi skimmed a day or up to 1000 calories worth of low fat yogurt. The diet is to shrink my liver before gaul bladder removal surgery. I am anxious: I want to get it right. I am not sure what option to

Latest outcome from Lu177 treatments
Hi All, I began Lu177 treatments last 4 November, and have had 3 infusions so far. Psa was 25 when I began, it went to 17 after No 2, and now its 5.0 after treatment no 3, and I am booked for a No 6 on 26 April, so 3 weeks away. Side effects have been slight dry mouth for a week after each infusion,

Severe leg and back pain after 2 weeks of ovarian cystectomy (Chocolate cyst)
Hi All, Can anyone please clarify me on this. I had lap exactly two weeks ago, and after 4 days of my surgery I got my endo pain back (severe pain in lower back which radiates along the left legs and knees). Does it mean that I am getting my endo back ? And doctor also mentioned after lap , that I had

Time between Radical Prostatectomy and Metastatis
Hi there, As my dad is about to start treatment (Radiation and hormone therapy) I’m feeling anxious and sad. He has no outward signs of being ill and it’s surreal that a psa score and scan showing one spot on his spine now has him at stage 4 and about to put his body through treatments that will make

Prostatectomy in June 2018
New to the group. Biopsy in April 2018 showed cancer in prostate, Gleeson score of 8. Radical prostatectomy in June 2018. Post surgery pathology showed positive margins and cancer in lymph node, left groin area. Quarterly PSA tests since surgery remain below 0.02. Doc is suggesting possible radiation

Should I stop prolia?
Have been on prolia injections for 5 years since breast cancer and double mastectomy followed by 3 months of chemo. Next Prolia Due 7/2019. Wasn’t informed of possible side effects but have been researching prolia past 9 months due to feeling like “crap” with no obvious explanation. Have decided to refuse

Medical Marijuana
I really am not that concerned about the old marihuana, but here is an interesting article from the Guardian about the current lack of prescribing in the UK. ‘I shouldn’t have to look over my shoulder’: Carly Barton’s fight for medicinal cannabis https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/apr/25/i-shouldnt-have-to-look-over-my-shoulder-carly-bartons-fight-for-medicinal-cannabis

Medical marijuana Parkinson's
Today I submitted my application for a New Mexico Medical Marijuana Card. With hope I can find a form that will calm my tremors and allow me to fall asleep.

My New Keto Life......
Since I was young and triple negative with only one node positive, I had a partial
radical
mastectomy
and 6 months of grueling chemo and NO radiation. A little over 2 years ago (18 years after the first time I had cancer) I started having what we thought was chronic asthma attacks.

Mammograms
My oncologist doesn’t feel mammograms are necessary since I’m being treated for MBC. I’ve had a partial mastectomy of my right breast, chemo and radiation in 2005. It metastasized to both lungs in 2016. I had massive chemo again. Now I’m on Letrozole and Ibrance and everything is stable. But I wanted

Are massages ok
I’m thinking about maybe a lymphatic massage and wondered if anyone has had one, is it safe in our condition. Had radical hysterectomy with other bits out as well so my cut is from under my ribs to my lower area, I’m just over 3 months post op, not sure how long I can lie on my tummy though, has anyone

Stomach cancer confirmed
Although I was expecting this result It is still a bitter pill to swallow. Now the medical team will discuss my options. I may get to know their opinions in 5 days day. The thing is - what option would or should I choose if offered? 1) Gastrectomy if the surgeon is willing to take the risk at my age

Immediate Reconstruction Worries
I was diagnosed with DCIS 2/13/2019. I had a bilateral mastectomy on 03/14/2019 with immediate reconstruction of cohesive silicone implants. My implants are tight, pinching on one side and the other side I can feel the implant in on the side of my rib/chest wall. I need to note I am a obese female.

CA125 update
Hi, just wanted to share today’s news. I’ve been getting a lot of tummy pains, likely still post-op (surgery last July) so I had an ultrasound which shows what they think is a cyst, had a ct scan and waiting on results but had bloods done and my CA125 is 3 x so relieved, just hoping the ct scan results
