Hello & help! Tocilizumab or Baricitinib?
hello, I’ve had RA for 10yrs, I’m 47 and this is the first forum I’ve joined, I’m battle weary, in a lot of pain, frightened and feeling the least optimistic I’ve ever felt since diagnosis. I know everyone reacts differently to each drug but I’m just looking for some hope… Had Etanercept circa 8yrs

After your diagnosis of uterine cancer, how was your experience with the healthcare system?
I was diagnosed in 2015 with Stage 1A, serous endometrial cancer. My gynecologist made the diagnosis after a suspected diagnosis of endometrial polyps. She performed a D&C with biopsy and made the diagnosis. Fortunately, she was on staff at a highly ranked university medical center and was able to arrange

Decided to have a robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy - update
Reasons for my decision: I made a decision based on my understanding, see below. Radiation - no effect on urinary leakage, sexual function initially preserved but wanes for most, limited options for salvage - if cancer recurs treatment is palliative/non curative, long term radiation damage to bladder

living with endo
Hi all - first time poster I have stage 4 endometriosis with adhesions to bowel and fibroids. I am due a hysterectomy but have been told by consultant that 20% chance it won’t help with the pain, that the endometriosis on bowel will likely remain and there are other risks generally with the surgery.

Tapering after surgery
Hi I have been on prednisolone since 2015 when I was on 60mg and also methotrexate and it has taken me till now to reduce to 3mg a day. On the 14th March I had a hysterectomy and pelvic floor repair. I was told to stop methotrexate for a while before surgery because it increases the risk of infection

For context, she was diagnosed HGS stage 3c/4a in Jan 2022, had three rounds of chemo, optimal debulking surgery with full hysterectomy and removal of omentum, and then three more rounds of chemo. Declared NED in August 2022, and has been on Avastin

Help interpreting summary of DEXA scan, please?
I had a DEXA san in January 2022, 18 months after being diagnosed and starting on Pred. By then my usual GP was away. I was just told I had osteopenia. I’m 65. For several months I wasn’t even advised what to do about it until I spoke again to my regular doc, who prescribed soluble ADCAL D3.

Upset after consultation
Hi everyone. Sorry for long post but I think it helped me writing this out. I just had a consultation with rheumatologist which didn't go well. I had antibiotics back in Feb and came off the Baricitinib for a week and then was referred for colonoscopy/biopsies. I spoke to helpline and nurse said

Long term side effects from salvage radiation after radical prostatectomy
Hi folks, I'm considering salvage radiation (~34 treatments) after a prostatectomy where the PSA didn't drop below .2. I'd like to get a feel for how common the long term side effects of Salvage radiation (to bladder, bowel, hemorrhoids, etc.) are, by hearing your experiences. Thanks in advance.
