Newbie Advice please
Finally, my GP prescribed 16 puffs of
Qvar
50 and 2 of Seretide 50 daily. It has worked amazingly. What I'm confused about is that he expressed doubts that it was asthma. He sent me for a chest xray and I shall have a breathing test next week. I asked him what else it could be.

Inhalers and worsening asthma symptoms
At the same time he changed the beclametosone to
QVAR
. Got over the cold, but did not use
QVAR
for some weeks as I still had some of the old one left. When I did change my breathing got worse, I had to use the combivent during the day. It got so bad my peak flow dropped to 250 one morning.

My GP changed my Meds
Now my new GP has changed me over to
Qvar
Easi-Breathe 100ug, and Ventolin Evohaler 100ug. My peak flow is always around normal for me between 500 and 520, but I feel the inhalers are not helping me.

Confused about symptoms
I started with quite a low dose of
Qvar
inhaler but it didn't help much so then I was given a higher dose plus a seratide inhaler also. This still didn't work so eventually I was prescribed 8 puffs of
Qvar
plus 2 of Seratide twice daily. I became so dehydrated I had to go back and tell the doctor.

What's the difference?
Can anyone enlighten me to the difference to Beclazone,
QVAR
, and Clenil Modulite? Are they all CFC free? Jen

I'm a bit down really as don't seem to go anywhere: I was started on
QVar
100+ Ventolin which didn't help, changed to Seretide 250+ ventolin which makes it slighty better, but had to have since 2 courses of prednisolone for 5 days.

Qvar- When to start re-taking it.
The
qvar
got rid of the cough and several months later after my peakflow rising from 270- 360/370 I decided to stop
Qvar
with the agreement from my GP. He believes my asthma has worsened to due to high stress.

Beclazone Inhalers
I have 2
Qvar
Beclometasone Dipropionate 100 in the cupboard my Son no longer uses (yes they are in date). Would I be ok to take 1 puff twice a day? I already have a spacer and ventolin inhaler (the other 2 items on script!). When I used to order my Son's meds I always asked for Beclazone.

QVAR dosage
Hi There, My son has just been shifted across from Beclomatsome 100 (2 puffs twice a day), to
QVAR
100 (1 puff twice a day). The pharmacist told me its common practise that dosage is halved when you move across, due to
QVAR
being more effective. Has anyone else been moved across successfully?
