Had the ablation.
Monday I had the procedure under general anesthesia-safely and successfully. The did give IV cortef at the start of the procedure. Since they needed to intubate my throat is sore for days but my ears-especially the right one are achy. I was debating why aching now; pollen count is moderate, and my jaw

Bad chest x-ray and no dx in sight
Now, no one will follow up with me for a minimum of 2 months because they want me to take a
pulmonary
function
test
and a CT before they give me a clue what is wrong.

ONCT-534 Earns FDA Fast Track Designation in R/R Metastatic CRPC
Looks like a number of Drug companies are creating drugs that interact with the AR’s N-terminal domain and ligand-binding domain, impeding cell growth and enabling AR degradation. ONCT-534 Earns FDA Fast Track Designation in R/R Metastatic CRPC October 27, 2023 Investigators will assess

Respiratory Therapy Student
Hi All, I have been a member of the forum for 8ish years. I have bronchiectasis and had a LLL (left lower lobe) resection in 2019. I am 48 years old. The past 3 years I have been studying to become a Respiratory Therapist (RT). In the US, RTs work in hospitals managing critical care patients on ventilators

Do I have COPD?
The x-rays show hyper inflated lungs with emphysemic changes, however 2 years in a row I passed the
pulmonary
function
test
. I have never had a cough, wheezing or sputum. Also, most of my serum co2 levels have been slightly elevated for the last 7 years ( that makes me suspicious).

Vasculitis Awarenes Month
May is vasculitis awareness month. Microscopic Polyangiitis (MPA) is inflammation of the small and sometimes medium sized blood vessels. It usually affects the renal function and/or lungs. Get a glimpse of Gemma's journey with MPA vasculitis. If you would like to donate to Vasculitis UK, please

Warfarin
Has anyone experienced Warfarin failing you more than once? I have had three different instances where I had large clots in my lungs while on it. I am still on it (after my coverage from work denied paying for Framing injections - the only anticoagulant that hasn't failed me). Just wondering if this

lung volume reduction through value insertion
Hi All don't often post but do read them all. I am due a consultation to discuss the possibility of value insertion but apparently they now put you under with anaesthetic and put you on a breathing machine and they are worried about me coming off that and say it is a risk so I don't know what I should

acyclovir and kidney care
I have follicular lymphoma. I’m not interested in taking acyclovir as I was born with only one kidney. I’m wondering if anyone knows of an antiviral that doesn’t harm the renal function that can replace acyclovir? thank you.

Shock diagnosis
Hi. I was admitted to hospital last Friday with heart rate of 144 and told I have AF. Told without anticoagulants I was risking major stroke, heart attack or pulmonary embolism. Now on beta blocker, Warfarin and Fragmin. Worried 😟. Was working on day I was admitted and feeling very anxious. Don’t know

Any insight into # platinum chemo cycles?
So I'm about to start cisplatinum + etoposide chemo cycles on wed. next week for NECP/SCCP. The first irritant I have of which I'm sure will not be the only one is: I have no idea what the treatment plan is, I don't know how many cycles I'm scheduled for and what the treatment goal is. Researching
