Robert was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2018 PSP in 2021 progression was slow at first. Last year Robert was walking with a cane and dragging his feet. In September he began to fall daily sometimes more. He got weaker every day and finally allowed me to call a rescue. What followed was a whirlwind

Impulsivity
Another issue I find myself constantly fighting is my impulsivity. I’m easily distracted into going into a new task, or starting something else at a “drop of a hat”. Within my business, that costs me time, energy, and worse off- MONEY. So, I’ve had lots of conversations with my therapist about how to

advice on degrees please?
Hello! I’m just wondering if I could have some advice on degrees please. So I had postpartum psychosis three years ago and I’d love to study to work with perinatal mums suffering with their mental health. I’m just trying to figure out what degree to do. I have suspected PDA autism so it has to

Car Accident #2
I was rear-ended about 2 years ago. Not too bad but I'm still dealing with a torn meniscus and it aggravated my arthritis. I have to give a deposition...which I will chat about that later. But about 6 months ago I was rear-ended AGAIN near the same highway but this time it totaled my car. I have PTSD

Occupational Therapy ‘drop-in’ event
Occupational Therapists play an important role in supporting people living with ataxia! We do occupations from the moment we’re born – they’re essential to living. They give our lives meaning and purpose, they shape who we are, and help us connect with others. This week is Occupational (OT) week!

Does this Forum truly help?
Does this forum/chat room truly help? Because to me it sounds like everyone is asking questions and we are the same people who are attempting to answer when we have questions as well. I joined this fo 2 years ago at a desperate time in my life seeking for help as do many. But only got a few comments

DAWS success story?
Hi all, After a brutal stop of pramipexole (extended release) two weeks ago, predated by a tapering off Venlafaxine from March to August, I'm experiencing the hell of DAWS (Dopamine Agonist Withdrawal Syndrom). I'm now hospitalized in a neurology service, and they are giving me pregabalin, dypirimadole

11yo school refusal when with mom, aggression
My son is 11, and newly in middle school. He has ADHD, ODD, and is mildly dyslexic. He’s on Qelbree and clonidine. He sees a psychiatrist and a just started with a new child psychologist. The first month of school was ok, then something changed and he did not want to go to school. Said everyone is mean

Introductions
Hello folks. My name is Melanie. I can't say what a relief it is to have found a community for this after feeling so alone and misunderstood for as long as I have. Before I get too ahead of myself though, I'll start with some background info. I was recently officially diagnosed (at 33) with ADD Inattentive

At the end of my rope
I'm a 31 y/o male and I'm just at my wits end. Part of my biggest stuggle with anxiety (for me) is when you're at your absolute worst, there's nothing that can be done. I've dealt with anxiety since 2012, depression since 2010, and have had my major ups and downs, as I'm sure we all have. Right now I'm

Need a friend
I'm 67 . I'm a mother, grandmother and recently a great grandmother. I love with my boyfriend of 101/2 years. I've suffered from depression and anxiety forever and I'm sick of it. I believe it stems mostly from sexual, verbal and emotional abuse since a child. I'm tired of it all. Tried many antidepressants

Seeking Understanding
I've had a random onset of severe anxiety and panic attacks. It started with one panic attack and since then I have been constantly making effort to direct my thoughts and body. I am exhausted and scared. My panic attacks include my hands, arms, face, and sometimes neck all becoming paralyzed. I can't

Unsure why I'm unable to initiate conversations.
I've been going to therapy for the past 3 years. I like my therapist and feel she has been able a stable ear in my frustrations in life whether it be school, work, or other issues. The main goal I've been wanting to accomplish was making friends and widening my circle of friends. However, I've attempted
