Undetectable PSA but new bone uptake
The good news -
PSA
is <0.01. Previously diagnosed M1b. The bone scan however picked up “new focus of uptake in lateral left 11th rib”. Radiologist labeled it indeterminate, doc believes it to be false positive based on
PSA
.

Xtandi failure?
My Onco said that I needed to stop Xtandi whatever the
PSA
resuls, but I'm obviously scared about what happens when I have nothing but the injection. If
PSA
doubles while on Xtandi every 2 months, what will it do when I am not taking anything?

Thank you for all your helpful info on using Xtandi .
My
PSA
has been pretty accurate in determining my cancer. My oncologist recommended SBRT, since I had 4 tumors in my bones, following up with Lupron/Xtandi:. However, he was ok with me just taking Lupron. He did no urge me to take the Xtandi .

quick update
just spoke with my urology nurse consultant, my
PSA
is now 0.05, looks like the hormone treatment is working, looking like radiotherapy will start April/ May, I’ve got a personal trainer sorted out and a diet plan, and the effects of the hormone injection have eased, so I’m feeling positive Regards

PSA doubled after starting Tamsulosin
I have had 3
PSA
tests in the last 6 weeks. The first 2
PSA
tests (taken with a catheter) I had the same
PSA
of 13.97. The last
PSA
(without catheter and taking Tamsulosin) my result was 26.17. Is this rise in
PSA
normal after starting with Tamsulosin?

Into the Great Unknown
At 57 when diagnosed (
PSA
5.2, Gleason 4+3, one affected pelvic lymph node per PSMA PET scan), our plan was to throw the kitchen sink at my PCa and see if we can’t knock it out.

Xtandi (enzalutamide) +ADT slows metastases in recurrent men
https://www.prostatecancer.news/2022/09/short-term-androgen-annihilation-in-non.html Now we have proof that ADT+Xtandi (enzalutamide) slows the appearance of metastases and delays castration resistance in recurrent men with rapid
PSA
doubling times.

RO Advice for Salvage Rad
One of the ROs I've had a consult with wants to do salvage rad soon (Post-RP
PSA
is north of 0.1). However, he wants do the SRT w/o ADT. His rationale is that if we do ADT concurrently, there's no way to tell if the SRT was working.

Another anniversary
A year previous, my
PSA
was over 3200. My lungs look like Swiss cheese and I had been peeing blood for weeks! The scans showed bone, lung and lymph node metastasis, and a really crappy prognosis.

Monthly Firmagon Shot
My
PSA
went to undetectable and has stayed there. All scans have showed nothing. My MO said we'd continue Firmagon until September (that will have been two years) and then stop. We'll check my
PSA
every three months.

Rising PSA numbers
Between my 1st and 2nd infusion my
PSA
went from 5.3 to 9.8. my ONC said not to worry as it takes a few infusions before the
PSA
turns down. Between my 3rd and 4th infusion my
PSA
went to 11.4.

New treatment after being dropped from Pluvicto.
By the way the lab did show
PSA
dropped to 340. I’m pleased with the drop from 758 to 340 with just the one chemo infusion in January. ??? Any thoughts??? Thank you for reading.

Any Idea?
I’m having a scan of my hands to determine whether it’s RA or
PsA
. Lately I’m getting leg weakness and exceptionally stiff and painful knees. I try to go for a walk everyday but it’s happening less .

Worsening Stress Incontinence 20 Months After Surgery?
My
PSA
is 0.02. My best guess is that physical shape has a direct impact on incontinence post-surgery and it mainly because I'm not as in as good of shape as I was when my continence was better?

rising psa but scans are clear
He is so hung up on the
PSA
and admits they cannot find any recurrent cancer but don't like the rising
PSA
. I am 71 years old and am leaning toward not taking the hormone therapy until they can prove to me via scans that the cancer has returned and is life threatening.
