1st PSA Post SBRT + ADT: A Bounce?
At the end of ADT, my

PSA
Test was last Wednesday at Penn Medicine in Philly (9 months post RT and 4.5 months post ADT): Testosterone back: 431.
PSA
jumped to 2.069.

I just started Zytiga and at the age of 86 I'm finding it difficult to climb stairs; I do have a slow heartbeat when at rest: mid to high 40
I've been on Orgovyx for 3 months, when I added Xytiga, which was added because Orgovyx was only able to bring my
PSA
from 12 to 1.8. Thoughts, Terry

PSA slightly rose after 8 months undetectable
Till now I has been undetectable but at November my bloodwork showed
PSA
risen to 0.04. Should I be concerned or could it be just random fluctuation? Thanks for your reactions.

Answer to unknown question
Instead of worrying about
PSA
and other test results my real concern was "what was likely to happen as the cancer progressed and would I know".

Chemo Failed
His
PSA
went from 0.58 to 2.3. Things he tried: Lupron (on for years before failed) Zytiga (worked for 18 months) Orchidectomy Then the chemo. He is not a candidate for radiation because of a previous cancer. He is going to get a PET scan and go back to oncologist in 6 weeks.

Chemo for an 86-year-old with stage 4 PC.
Started all this at 86, stage 4. 3 months on Orgovyx brought
PSA
from 72 to 1.8; next week I'm adding Zytiga, and if that helps and I can deal with this drug I'm going to press the MO to start me on Chemo. Do you think I'm setting myself up way too much?

Patches (I'm depending on you, son)
While my research has continued, my oncologist has nothing to give me within the SOC to keep the
PSA
in check. Now I've witnessed another unwelcome visitor: facial hair (it only took me 70 yrs to start shaving....) Joking aside however, that means the T is on the rise.

Should go into the OMAHA2a ODM-208 (MK-5684-004): phase 3 trial?
MO is suggesting that I should go into the ODM-208 (MK-5684): phase 3 trial if
PSA
rises above 1.0.
PSA
of 1.0 or above is a entry requirement for the trial, presumable to be sure that my current treatment has failed.

PSA seasonality
For this reason I analyzed my old
PSA
readings during the 2+ years before starting Bicalutamide. I divided the year into two halfs assigning winter as the period starting on the autumnal equinox and ending on the vernal one. Summer is the remaining.

Finished 8 Rounds of Docetaxel
Before starting Docetaxel my
PSA
was 23.8; after 8 rounds my
PSA
dropped to 5.7! My MO is giving me a 3 month break. I will get another
PSA
in 3 months and we will reassess my situation. My MO has already told me my next treatment will be pluvicto. Hopefully I won’t need it for quite a while.

Docetaxel and Carboplatin
My
PSA
is now up to 99.5. I have bone mets in my lower back and sacrum w periodic pain that’s controlled w pain meds. My oncologist is recommending a chemo concoction of Docetaxel and Carboplatin. It’s the last item on the shelf. Have any of you guys had this combo before? How did it go?

BAT trial
After 1 week my
PSA
flared from 50 to just over 90, in other circumstances this would have sent me into a major meltdown but the experts assure me this is a common occurrence and it is possible my
PSA
will remain elevated while I receive the testosterone boosters.

Starting Chemo again, Cabazitaxel Has anybody experienced any side effects that have been unusually bad?
PSA
is now no longer a good indicator for disease progression. I'm not looking forward to doing this but it's what has to be done. I'm wondering if any of you guys have experienced any adverse side effects other than the usual nausea, hair loss etc.?

I got some doubts about the know-how of my oncologist
. :) This post is sort of a follow-up on another I did back in August: https://healthunlocked.com/advanced-prostate-cancer/posts/149892314/need-help-in-understanding-
psa
-level-recurrence-after-treatment. My
PSA
level on Friday was 0.14.

Options when Docetaxel stops working
His
PSA
was 52 at the time of his diagnosis. He went on Lupron and Abiraterone which took his
PSA
to .03 and kept it low until Oct 2022. It went to 8.9 and his doctor put him on Docetaxel chemo. His
PSA
has continued to rise and his oncologist has kept him on this chemo. His
PSA
is now 48.

Use hormone therapy or not with Proton therapy
Hi All, Question, doctor is suggesting hormone therapy along with proton therapy (28 treatments of radiation) my gleason score went from 3+3 to 4+3 last year and
psa
doubled from 10 to 20. I tried to get in to this study to determine the genetics of tumor but they said tumor sample was bad.

Prostate cancer but normal PSA?
A month after my diagnosis and prior to any treatment, I modified my diet and started supplements and dropped my
PSA
by 30% from 29 to 20 just with diet and nutrition. Yesterday, they did a follow-up 1-month blood panel and my
PSA
came back as 2.7!!!
