Am I missing something in the relationship between

and testosterone levels? Thanks.

PSA Gone Up
In November 2023, I had my first
PSA
test since SRT and it was .008 ng/mL. I just got another
PSA
test yesterday and the number has gone up to .015 ng/mL. Should I be worried?

Mortality Probability after first PSA rise vs non-castrate testosterone levels (low vs Normal)
At 5 years after first
PSA
failure, the prostate specific mortality rate is about 7% for normal T, versus 58% for "Low" T. That's a huge difference, which only gets larger with longer time. The paper also reports that the
PSA
doubling time is 2.8 months for Low-T and 10.6 months for Normal-T.

Life Expectancy
His
PSA
dropped to 0.001, prompting his medical oncologist to recommend a medication vacation. For two years, he had
PSA
tests every three months, and everything seemed stable. However, recently his
PSA
jumped to 0.4, and a scan detected one spot on his rib.

Finasteride: "Miracle drug" regrows hair, heals prostate, and also boosts heart health ByEric Ralls Earth.com
My
PSA
a year ago was 1.4 just before the prostate cancer irradiation. The
PSA
dropped in 6 months after radiation from 1.2 to 0.25 and now is on the fast rise. Last
PSA
was 3. What is my status? Am I still polimetastatic or maybe oligo metastatic or just none metastatic crpc in my prostate?

Not great news for hubby today. What is next?
Oncologist today said to continue the Abiraterone for another month and see where we are at with
PSA
results. Was up again today. He did have 6 rounds of targeted radiation last month, so would that cause
PSA
to go up. We were hoping the Abiraterone would lower the
PSA
.

Remission
All
PSA
testing from oncologist has ranged from .04 to .05. Why not have my internist take my
PSA
yearly? Or is going to my oncologist for testing the better way to go?

PSA and Eligard and bicalutamide
My
PSA
keep rising. Today,
PSA
went up to 1.1 (Today-03/13/24) from 0.37 (January). Doctor told me to take another Eljgard injection next week. This is the 2nd time. Doctor asked me to stop taking bicalutamide and dutasteride, as they appear not to be effective any longer.

Scans other than PSMA for PC
My husband’s
PSA
continues to rise yet his PSMA scans are all clear. His last PSMA was late October with a
PSA
of 4.7 His
PSA
today was 6.5 It seems I have noted on this forum some other type scans should be done besides PSMA. His ALK PHOSPHATE is 85 (normal) Calcium levels all normal.
