Questions about medicare/insurance - turning 65
I foresee a bunch of expenses in my future (
prostatectomy
and pelvic lymph dissection, possible radiation…), and wonder what I should do regarding my pending Medicare enrollment. Do any of you older folks have any suggestions which way I should go? Medicare? Medicare & supplemental? Other?

Hi everyone - After a removed lymph node was found to have cancer in it after my
prostatectomy
, I’ve migrated myself over to this Advanced Prostate Cancer group. I keep joining these new clubs. I must be popular.

Need help/input on Adjuvant vs salvage radiation after prostatectomy & extended lymph node dissection. Also studies/input on # fractions?
History: Husbands care team planned for a “multi-modality” treatment plan (ADT+Zytiga, then
prostatectomy
with ePLND, followed by adjuvant IMRT), for his Gleason 10, locally advanced PC.

Low PSA producing PCa. MO discontinued Abi +Pred. Is this right?
Highest PSA at diagnosis and
prostatectomy
was 2.67. Started on Lupron right away. Abi and pred started when PSA went to .26 a year after surgery. We’re in Florida for a few months and went to Moffit for a second opinion. Doctor took him off abi and pred right away (he’d been on for 2 months).

Had a Radical
Prostatectomy
with clear margins, and for a year have had PSA tests less than the 0.1 level. Most recent test jumped from 0.047 to 0.075 concerning me that the surgery was not fully successful.

Additional therapy(ies) right after radical prostatectomy based on pathological findings?
Is there any recommendation for doing additional therapy(ies), radiation, hormone therapy and/or ADT right after surgery in order to reduce the risk of Biochemical recurrence? Can pathological findings, below, recommend additional treatment? stage, tumor size/diameter, multifocality, extraprostatic

Erectile Leaking
I'm 2 months post robotic-
prostatectomy
. All went very well regarding surgery as is, my continued recovery. The one thing which I can't understand or work out is masturbation incontinence. 90% now I'm dry, just wearing a small dry pad. Doing my Kegel exercises every day, 3 times a day.

Concerns about treatment
I had a
prostatectomy
in 4/2009. In 3/2018 realized my PSA was .3. Underwent salvation radiation with no change. PSA tested every 3 months and has been climbing, except when I tried KETO diet. Attempts to locate using PET scans with Auxim have failed.

Side Effects of Lupron plus Abiraterone
I'm 56 and 15 mos post radical
prostatectomy
. I'm on Lupron and Abiraterone plus prednisone. Aside from the 'normal' side effects of low/no libido, reduced testicle size, etc., I am losing much of my body hair. I'm referring to arm, leg, chest and armpits.

Nighttime incontinence
I had radical
prostatectomy
about 16 months ago. Radiation followed about 6 months after that. I am on Lupron and abiraterone now for about 9 months. Among other side effects, I have occasional bed wetting.

Long term side effects from salvage radiation after radical prostatectomy
Hi folks, I'm considering salvage radiation (~34 treatments) after a
prostatectomy
where the PSA didn't drop below .2. I'd like to get a feel for how common the long term side effects of Salvage radiation (to bladder, bowel, hemorrhoids, etc.) are, by hearing your experiences.

PSA post salvage radiation
He had clean margins and reached undetectable PSA after
Prostatectomy
. Near the end of 5th year after surgery his PSA became detectable. I’m confused, If clean margins how would cancer be outside the prostate? He did salvage radiation at .09 PSA.

Robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy - PSA confirms microscopy after surgery
PSA, 7 weeks after surgery, was 0.01 ug/L. Recall microscopy after surgery reported the tumour was no longer prostate confined with capsular penetration and extension into periprostatic fat. Tumour extended very close to the posterior surgical margin but in none of the sections did it reach this margin

Advice on bloodwork after radiation treatment?
He was diagnosed with prostate cancer (a very low PSA) back in 2016, underwent a radical
prostatectomy
that year, and then radiation a year or two later to his pelvic area after a rise in PSA.
