New to in center HD
I'm in my 2nd week of in center HD and have been experiencing terrible bloating and gas. Is this related to the dialysis, or is something else going on? Juvenile diabetic, CHF, hypertension. Kidney function been decreasing last 5 years. I've been on transplant list (kidney/pancreas) for one year, was

tenofovir disoproxil fumarate and weight gain

I saw online that it is associated not only with kidney problems, and bone density problems, but also a weight gain and body shape changes!!! What are other peoples experiences?! Have

Dutasteride Monotherapy is effective for Newly Diagnosed PCa men not on ADT
This plot shows men that either don't have PCa (Group A) or newly diagnosed men with PCa by biopsy (Group B). Neither group is on ADT. Dutasteride monotherapy (0.5 mg/day) causes an average drop in PSA of about 50% in both Groups, and an average drop of about 20% in prostate volume. In one man, his

Declining red blood cells.
This Poollover, and I'm stage 4 prostrate cancer. My anemia is slowly getting worse. I'm on Orgovyx and Zytiga which brought my PSA to 0.78 from 12. Where do I go from here. In June I'll be 87. Terry

PSA 6.9 six years after prostatectomy but PET/CT negative?
Weird situation here. Had a prostatectomy at Hopkins in early 2018. Organ-confined but Gleason on pathology was 4+5. For a little over two years PSA remained undetectable...and then, well, I kind of slacked off the test. Stupid and reckless on my part. After a roughly 3-year interval I recently

Possible kidney disease
Hi friends, after a recent flare-up I got some routine testing done, and one of the kidney markers showed up in a urine test. It showed micro-proteins, or mircoalbuminuria, which is different to the protein that shows up for a UTI. Apparently, the microalbuminuria means the kidneys are leaking, which

Is HE always inevitable with severe chronic liver disease?
My daughter has been told there is nothing more the doctors can do for her multiple hepatic adenomas. Transplant is not an option, due to serious underlying health conditions and also total lack of fitness . She has at least 15 of these tumours taking over her liver now. She has had a resection last

What is my status
Please could someone clarify this for me as had an overactive thyroid which was knocked out with RAI. I am Thyroxine which, thank goodness, has stabilised me so that I am Euthyridic (sp) however there are the occasional flareups of eye problems associated with Throid Eye Disease. What I am really confused

What’s Next After Lupron and Aberaterone?
Dx almost 11 years ago with about 4-5 tumors in bones- the largest one in the left acetabulum. Had the prostate removed shortly after Dx along with a bunch of lymph nodes. Basically, I have been on Lupron and Aberaterone for most of my 11 years except for 3 “vacations” during the first 5 years. PSA
