Fatty liver in biopsy but not scans
Hiya, I’m just curious if anyone has had a similar experience where their liver biopsy results shows signs of fatty liver but ultrasounds/CT show an enlarged liver but no fatty liver signs. I’m wondering if this means it’s extremely early stages maybe?

How high is high phosphorous??
I just got labs back. I was happy to see the crazy good numbers. Even with 2 hours3 days a week. only. MY creatinine went down from almost 7 to 5.89. My bun, pth, potassium all went down and are in range. Calcium in range. Glucose in range. A1C 5.3. the only number that was bad was phosphorous which

Advice Greatly Appreciated
Good Day, I would sooooo appreciate a response/advice/opinions.... I was recently advised by my GP (family doctor) that I have cirrhosis. This is of course terrifying...I apparently had sever fatty liver in July 2021 but I was sadly not informed of this. I would have turned it around immediately.

When to start ADT, Salvage radiation or both for BCR after PSMA Petscan shows nothing?
Post RRP in 2009 and now having BCR with PSA rising to .20 over the last couple years, I was offered and opted for a PSMA Petscan to see if there was an identifiable spot of recurrence that could be treated early. The PSMA scan came back with no indication of the PSA source, so now I am wondering about

1 month vs 3 month HT injections
So I'll soon be embarking on my HT journey. The RO wants me to start on 14 days of Bicalutamide tablets, then 3 monthly injections of Eligard. So I have a few questions; 1: I remember someone mentioning on this forum that monthly injections are easier to tolerate compared to injections every 3 months

💤 sleep
I've always been a good sleeper but following the stroke triggered by brain aneurysm surgery. I've been regularly finding myself waking at 1-2am thinking it's the morning and time to get up. I'm living in a rehab unit so there are always staff around to reorientate me to the time but it's an annoying

delayed reconstruction
I had a subdural haemorrhage in may 2023 removing most of the right side of my scull even encroached my forehead that’s some 10 months ago now. I was supposed to receive reconstructive surgery and have titanium implant to protect the sensitive area where my skin is my only protection to my brain. That

Hello again
I posted a little while ago, that I had been diagnosed with cirrhosis just over a year ago as a progression of NAFLD that I was unaware of. I had been waiting results of DEXA scan which did show thinning of bones and an US which showed no abnormalities. (The cirrhosis had been diagnosed from a Fibroscan

Tests show fatty liver but I seem to have Terry's Nails?
I am 27F, currently 7 months pregnant. I currently weigh 209 but have lost 45lbs over the past year and a half. I was a big drinker in college and after but have greatly cut back and obviously stopped during this pregnancy and my first one. I went to my doctor a couple years ago with RUQ pain and had

NX 1607 - phase 1 trial, will also recruit prostate cancer patients but not from the beginning
Also some prostate cancer patients will be included in the trial further down the road...let's just keep this in mind https://www.cancernetwork.com/view/trial-will-assess-nx-1607-safety-and-tolerability-in-advanced-malignancies

To Thyroidectomy or Not to Thyroidectomy
Hi there! Hoping for some guidance, advice and possibly real life results from some members. I was diagnosed with Graves' Disease this time last year. I had every possible symptom you can imagine. I started on Methimazole almost immediately. My numbers have gotten better but are still not controlled.

Mercifully I’m relatively SE free at this point but know it’s early…..what I DO have after the first few weeks is a chronically stiff neck that makes it impossible to move my head to the right…..Wondering if anyone has ever heard of

20,000 soon. Celebrate the high quality of support and Reflect on the state of prostate cancer
Soon, there will be 20,000 members in our Malecare Advanced Prostate Cancer community. What does reaching this milestone tell us about the state of prostate cancer treatments and therapies? What does it tell us about Malecare and the 19,999 people who preceded the 20,000th?
