What after docetaxel?
I was diagnosed in 2004, had an RP in 2010, and have been on hormonal treatments ever since. My NHS oncologist told me today that the Xtandi I am currently being prescribed might last for the remainder of this year and possibly next. After that the treatment she can offer (NHS) is docetaxel, though

Had 2nd of 90 days Lupron Feb 1-23 as adjuvant 6-month ADT therapy with my Salvage IMRT. First PSA test yesterday and T level. Undetectable (less than .006 uPSA) and T level of 30. Here's to hoping it stays down. I know BCR may happen over the long run with SVI, PNI, bladder neck, and surgical margins

First monthly Prostap injection - side effects two weeks in…
Hi lovely people! Not really a question, but let me know if your experience was similar to mine… Had my first monthly Prostap injection at my GP surgery two weeks ago. Got told I could choose between arm, thigh & buttock for an injection site, so opted for arm. Painless injection and didn’t give me

Hello again.
After my first post yesterday here are a few brief details. Diagnosed in February 2021 with a PSA of 37and prescribed a 2 year course of Prostap by 3 monthly injections. this had the effect of immediately lowering PSA to negligible. This was very quickly followed by a course of Aberaterone {Zytiga

How do you find a good oncologist and how do you overcome the side effects of Lupron?
My dad is in his 70's and is taking Lupron shots every six months but it is negatively impacting his mental health to the point where he is going to stop taking it. He had his prostate removed and radiation about ten years ago when he was first diagnosed. I'm really worried about him because at this

Need Help in Dallas
A friend of mine was just diagnosed, and I’m looking for recommendations for the preeminent radiation oncologist specializing in prostate cancer in Dallas. He tells me its been caught early, but still wants to find the best possible resources for care, and who can blame him? Can anyone offer suggestions

Pluvicto failed - what is next?
Hello Warriors Well it looks like pluvicto has failed. I just got my most recent PSA test after my fourth injection and my PSA has now gone from 20 to 30. Also my PSMA scan says that my cancer is no more stable and on the move with more tracers. Still just in the bones. Pluvicto was brutal on my

I miss my cock. The size and appearance of my old fella was nothing remarkable. Circumcised, a tad over the average six inches when hard (I’ll admit to measuring my erection as an insecure teenager to confirm its normality), it nevertheless possessed what I’d like to consider a certain sleek elegance.A

gleason score
first clue was psa 250 then 300 on re-check. Psma showed local mets to nodes and suspicious to nodes in back. Started lupron 2 weeks ago. Just had biopsy which showed gleason score of 4+3= 7. Im happily shocked, was prepared for a 10. i’m not sure what to even think about this. Any of you big brains

Chemo with Docetaxel - side effects
I started triple therapy over a month ago with Eligard and Nubeqa, Zometa for bones, and Docetaxel chemo (with daily prednisone). Gleason 10, RP with 12 lymph nodes all negative, but then quickly went metastatic to multiple bones - too many for radiation to be effective. PSA peaked 3 months after

question regarding otc pain relief
I am currently on daily zytiga plus prednisone and monthly firmagon. . I have mostly avoided any pain meds. Recently, I overexerted while doing yard work and hurt the lower back. We now are hiking in the Finger Lakes and rest on the back isn’t as practical, but the back isn’t cooperating. Tylenol

Dose titration for CRPC
Hi For those of us who question why we should recieve the Maximum Tolerated Dose as opposed to a Minimum Effective Dose, the work of the Moffitt among others is of great interest. In the following paper upward dose titration is of particular interest to me as I try to workout how to navigate my CRPC
