DEXA results, HELP-should he start Prolia?
Finally got the DEXA results and still not sure if he should start
Prolia
yet! Of course his MO will say yes, since she wanted to start
Prolia
without even doing a DEXA first! His appt with MO is this Monday and we need to decide if he wants the
Prolia
shot or not.

Neutropenia and Prolia
Has anyone got Neutropenia from using
Prolia
or heard about it. I have now got mild Neutropenia after one injection. Wondering if it is the
Prolia
. I am not going to have another injection.

PROLIA FRACTURES OF THE FEMUR.
We who have been given
Prolia
all know it comes with a warning of fracture of the FEMUR. The patient information leaflet tells us to contact our doctor if we experience new or unusual pain in hip groin or thigh.

A Detailed History of my PMR Journey
My doctor also prescribed an injection of
Prolia
(denosumab) every six months to avoid osteoporosis. Along the way, I developed Achilles tendinitis from an injury while exercising. I was taking 10 mg prednisone at the time and I presume the prednisone weakened my tendon.

Pred or MTX?
I’m already on
Prolia
injections for Osteoporosis so not sure about mixing those two drugs. Anyway, I’m open to your thoughts on 1. Keep off the pred and start MTX 2. Go back on low dose of pred e.g. 5mg for about a week to see if the pain reduces then immediately stop.

Journey with osteoporosis.
I have had treatment with Bisphosphonates, Forsteo, Raloxafine and
Prolia
. I have 4 spinal fractures, one of which occurred 8 years ago, I then had 2 more 1 in May 2017 and 1 in June 2017 my more recent one was in January 2019. These have happened without any trauma and whilst on treatments.

Prolia
Hi, I have taken two shots of
Prolia
, with no side effects. I had no knowledge or even given any pamphlet, paper work, info about it. Having read now what people have gone through, I no longer want to take it anymore.

Stopping Prolia after one injection?
I`m afraid that getting the second injection will force me to continue with
Prolia
for very long time (my age 52) with no safe way to stop, due to the high occurrence of the "rebound" effect with multiple fractures. I started with
Prolia
due to Osteoporosis with few vertebral fractures.

What medication should I take?
I have told my doctor I am not having the next
Prolia
injection(only had one). What are the alternatives for me? Love to go natural but really don't want to break any more bones. I am taking a lot of natural therapy things(naturopath suggestions).

About Prolia
The very first day I received the shot I became severely ill. I spent 4 months barely able to raise my head off the pillow. I also suffered from severe bone pain, itching, groin pain, severe breathing problems, raising heart, insomnia, etc., etc. I would be very interested in joining a class action

"Algae Cal and Strontiuml"
Also GP has recommended
Prolia
injections 6 monthly.....but I am not keen to start taking
Prolia
. Admittedly I have been very remiss in relation to taking Ideos then Caltrate over the 3 years....now taking a once-per-day liquid infusion Osteofos D3. (Once a day is easier to do.

Experience with Prolia injections for osteoarthritis, osteopenia, etcetera
I say this because my husband has had low blood calcium and started kidney failure after a
Prolia
injection. Now he is on dialysis 3 times a week

Prolia

HELP! Magnesium is wrecking my life!
To save going over my situation, my first post on this forum regarding Osteopenia and
Prolia
can be found at: https://healthunlocked.com/bonehealth/posts/140686583/just-joined Also, somewhere (can’t find it now) I mentioned that I have (had) chronic constipation and someone suggested I should be taking

Osteoporosis and HRT for the over 60s
Twice in the last week I have had doctors tell me that denosumab (
Prolia
) is the answer and I’ve had to point out that the Rheumatologist specifically told me that I was ‘too young’ to be put on that due to my life expectancy (based on my mother living to 98) and the fact that denosumab can only be prescribed
