I’m just wondering, does anybody do this either by design or by accident?

What next? Thyroid?
I am looking for some advice before I go back to the GP next week, and I feel 'safe' asking it here. First some background might help: I live in Australia- GPs and their nursing staff here are no better educated than elsewhere the world, but fortunately we can buy hydroxycobalamin over the counter

Suspected Cushings or just hypo
Hey everyone, My endo is sending me for an MRI of pituitary and CT of chest, pelvis, abdomen and adrenals. My salivary cortisol seems to go up a lot after adding t3, my blood cortisol is over range and I'm having issues raising thyroid meds, keeping me in a hypo state. Apparently I could have a tumour

Does this sound like Hashimoto's please?
Hello, My thyroid has been under suspicion for many years but I cannot seem to get any answers. Postnatally, (four months after giving birth), some fifteen years ago, my TSH was tested and was 12.6. Nothing was done about this. ( I have only just seen this on my NHS app). Fast forward to eight years

Supplement Guidance
Hello all So after years of a tummy that reacted to certain foods, being diagnosed as gluten intolerant in 2016, really suffering in 2021 and 2022, following a FODMAP diet recommended by my doctor (don’t recommend) and getting to a point where I only ate the same plain things everyday, I finally paid

Latest blood test results. Advice please!
Hello. I just wanted to ask some advice as the last two blood tests I have had showed a borderline underactive thyroid, but the GP won't do anything until the TSH is over 10. My previous blood test showed a reading of 5.9 mu/L. However, they decided to do yet another repeat blood test to rule out anything

T3 and endo advice needed / East Sussex
Hi, am really struggling to get T3 medication. I asked for an NHS referral to Sunil Z but got declined due to being out of area. I live in Brighton and he's Surrey and Sussex NHS. Can they just decline like this? I don't have limitless funds to do endless private blood tests and consultations. The cost

Genetic testing for female when using donor sperm
I am in the process of ordering donor straws for IUI treatment and finding it really hard to find donors who are CMV negative in the UK and Europe. I have found a few US samples that match what I am after but there is no genetics testing/matching available on the site for buyers outside the US or Canada

mixing different t3 meds
I was taking cytomel for 6 years. Tsh went successfully down, but I never could reach normal ft3 because of my poor adrenals. Now when my thyroid worsened, tsh went from 0 to 4,5, anti TPO increased and anti TG appeared though never had them before, ft4 at lowest and ft3 aroung middleof the range. I

T3 prescribed
Hello lovely people. Just had appointment with private Endo who has prescribed T3, 5mcgs twice a day+T4 175mcgs. His PA to send my T3 meds (20mcgs) for which I will now get a pill cutter. To retest in about a month's time. He is writing to GP (who said T3 irrelevant), copy to me. So, is there a best

Still can’t lose weight - on NDT for 3 months
My mother is severely hypo and was untreated while she was pregnant with me. I’ve been hypo literally my whole life, though I was misdiagnosed earlier in life until I figured it out myself 1yr ago after a couple miscarriages and 18 months of creeping weight gain. I take 120mg or 2 grains of Thyroid-S

Having problems
Hi, Managed to get myself somewhat stable after a crisis period in December/January, and felt the best I had in ages on a dose of 100 mcg, TSH of 0.07 {Range:0.27-4.2}, and T4 of 19 {Range 12-22}. not without symptoms, but better than 95% of the time on dose. T3 was not done despite request from

I’ve been trying to get stable on t3/4 combination, still a way to go as last results after increasing to 10 mcg liothyronine in 2 doses were the worst yet, t3 and t4 both at bottom of range, vitamin D draining away again despite supplements. I’ve increased levothyroxine back up to 75 ( I was advised

Possible kidney disease
Hi friends, after a recent flare-up I got some routine testing done, and one of the kidney markers showed up in a urine test. It showed micro-proteins, or mircoalbuminuria, which is different to the protein that shows up for a UTI. Apparently, the microalbuminuria means the kidneys are leaking, which
