Adopt a Phytoestrogens diet while going through the menopause and hashimoto's - good or bad ?
Fed up with feeling unwell. Not only am I suffering from hashimoto's but now also menopausal symptoms. Last thyroid test in July was borderline normal. My sleep is erratic, hot flushes are horrendous, muscles ache, shoulder injury not healed in a year, headaches. Been looking at fx menopause but ingredients

RAI i would love to hear your experiences š
Hi i saw my Endo yesterday and he suggests i have RAI for my hyperthyroidism due to my Graves disease, i had a relapse FT4 76 and he thinks it was due to me being on 5mg Carbimazole daily. I was stable at 10mg daily but he tried to lower dose to see if he could get me totally off the meds...obviously

Hyperthyroidism- First Endo Appointment
Hi All, first appointment with my endocrinologist yesterday following diagnosis of hyperthyroidism in June this year. Iām looking for a bit of help as I feel a bit ābamboozledā with what he said. He explained that the best options were a thyroidectomy or RAI, and the RAI was the one he seemed to steer

What is your dosage after RAI?
Background: I have had graves for 17 years. I battled it successfully for 15 years with PTU but about 2 years ago I had RAI as I became hospitalised with neutropaeonia on both carbimazole and PTU. Since RAI I have had low energy and depression. My question is: What dosage are people on who have had

#Confused
After a roller coaster of a year, diagnosed thyroid cancer, total thyrondectomy and RAI. I'm just trying to get my head around all the side affects of not having a thyroid and making sure my medication dosage is correct.

What do results mean
Had my results for thyroid, the only ones out of range was anti thyroglobulin at 733 and low iodine 75% and spot iodine 89.45 although all other test were within normal findings the optimal findings were slightly above on TSH and low on T3 but would probably be considered normal, Practitioner suggested

does Swanson Thyroid Glandular contain iodine?
I have recently tried some, just less than half a cap, and feel great especially my mood! I went on a cleaning binge yesterday. However felt the same last year when I tried some iodine. Felt great for weeks but then suddenly gained 5 lbs. Stopped iodine, weight came off. so concerned this mood

'Brief radiation spike' after rocket engine blast in northern Russia
With the history of Chernobyl so recently revisited, anything even slightly related is going to hit the headlines. But the reason I am posting is not about the incident itself, certainly not intending to cause concerns or worry. (I think the wind is blowing it in the oppostite direction.) No, it is

Thyroidectomy or RAI - pros and cons
Hello, my husband (39 years old) has been diagnosed with Gravesā disease in January 2018. His results are now very good and the antibodies have dropped significantly, in fact they are very low. He is on 12.5mg of PTU every other day. His endo however thinks that he can relapse very quickly (like within

Thyrostim, iodine, t-convert levothyroxine and elevated TSH level
I would be interested to hear from anyone, particularly those who have taken thyrostim, iodine, t-convert along with their daily dose of levothyroxine. (Didn't take the meds together. Thyroxine etc morning. Levothyroxine bedtime. I have been taking the medication since last October 2018. I consulted

STILL PROBLEMS WITH LOWISH FT3 AND GAINING WEIGHT :(
Hello, I am still struggling with lowish FT3, here last labs: TSH 0,348 ( 0.27-4.2) FT3 3.65 ( 3.1-6.8) FT4 18.7 ( 12-22) I am on 75mcg Thyroxine. I cannot take T3, even the smallest dosage suppress my TSH and send FT3 too high ( out of the range) while suppressing FT4 too. My vitamins are ok, ferritin
