Use of thyroid hormones in hypothyroid and euthyroid patients: a 2020 THESIS questionnaire survey of members of the Hellenic Endo Society
We have often discussed Greece and their use of T3 (*liothyronine) - moist especially due to the very reasonable price of their own T3 product from Uni-Pharma. For that reason, I half-expected an article regarding thyroid treatment in Greece to see T3 rather more visible than in the UK. Whilst they

Iodine plus levothyroxine after Thyroidectomy?
Hi there. I had my thyroid removed since 2018, has anyone taken the violet iodine brand (molecular iodine), or some other along with levothyroxine? I have read that iodine helps in fibrocystic mastopathy, muscle aches, premenstrual syndrome, POS, etc. Levothyroxine has not been enough for me and T3

New here and just wanted a little advice as it isn't forthcoming from my consultant. Treatment following iodine treatment.
After years of trying unsuccessfully to sort my hyperthyroidism I had my iodine treatment at the end of June. I waited ages to see my consultant but finally saw him in Sept when he requested a blood test (results attached) I then had a phone call to say the results showed the treatment had worked and

1 Week Post RAI Question/Symptoms?
I received the treatment dose of RAI 8 days ago and had my full body scan on Thursday. I experienced severe swollen glands for a day after treatment and now no sense of taste - very bland taste always in my mouth. I woke up in the middle of the night last night very dizzy. I got up to get a drink and

Can anyone advise if I'm heading in the right direction please?
Good afternoon (just) I was just wondering if anyone could confirm I'm heading in the right direction with these results please? (Attached) I'm hoping so. I've been taking 100mcg Levothyroxine and be advised to continue with the same dose. My previous results 6wks ago were TSH - 49.60 (0.3 - 5.6) Free

Should I supplement iodine?
Morning, I have hashimotos which I seem for the most past to keep the antibodies down. I'm very symptomatic for low thyroid function but still fighting to get some kind of help medication wise. I've got a goiter, or large cyst that's growing considerably fast. Probably about 3 to 4 cm in the last year

Interdependance of iron load and thyroid function
The interrelationship between iron load and thyroid function is pretty well accepted, but I post here a paper showing the effect in children (can extrapolate safely to adults I think). It underlines the need for good iron loading to help rule out or confirm hypothyroidism.

Alcohol Consumption with Grave's after RAI
Morning, I was wondering if Alcohol makes our bodies react in a different way if we have Grave's and our Thyroids been ablated I was curious if anyone noticed.. It seems like when I have a bunch of drinks on the weekends the next week seems to be rough on me like it makes my nervousness extra high for
