Week 9 Run 1
Ok so this was the hardest run so far. There was one major reason for this: I was working until fairly late last night (outdoors) and got home absolutely famished. The weather was colder than it has been and added to my hunger to such a degree that It seemed like a good idea to order in Chinese food

How and when do you know its more than you think? Finding help but not sure what kind of help I may need? Begining of everything!!!!
I am just an ordinary person like you and everybody else. I am introverted extrovert well thats what I have been naming myself. I moved in the states when I was 19, with great plan ahead of me but not everything goes as we planned. As you can imagine 19 year old all alone managing everything ( at least

The emperor's new clothes
My husband is a bee farmer so I should have known better than to stick my hand into a hornets nest (if that makes sense). my real objective in my last post was to encourage those PeP who are passionate about curing PD to make a start on assessments of any trials they could consider entering. No more

Gentle 5
Morning All 😀 After my pep talks and advice earlier this week, this morning I went out for a gentle flat 5k. I ran with a friend which was new as I’ve always been a solo runner, but today I think it worked out well as we were chatting it forced me to go slower which made SO much difference. Thoroughly

Week 8 Run 2
Didnt sleep particularly well, woke with a dead leg (right thigh and butt cheek ) and my last run on Tuesday was hard so I wasnt overly optimistic about this one. My 12 year old gave me a positive pep talk last night 🥰 so with her in my ears I still got up and went early this morning. My field, as it's

Layman's PTSD
PTSD, emotional feelings of wide range, are sometimes experienced without perceptive cognition by individuals having been subject to inappropriate circumstance. PTSD, more prevalent & widespread than previously acknowledged or treated is endemic. Abuse/trauma associated with PTSD, subject individuals

Thank you Queen for putting things in perspective
OK, so it was W6R1 today and I struggled but not for the expected reasons. I'd taken heed of the warnings about returning to intervals and though I felt they disrupted the rhythm I wasn't too tired by the end (thank god). However, it really made me appreciate the power of positive thinking before a run

Week 6 Run 3 - Completed with bells on!
So my app paused this morning and by the time I realised what happened, I had run for 17 minutes. Then Laura told me I was half way through and my heart sank. But being a completionist I wouldn’t allow myself to stop until I heard Laura say ‘You are now officially a runner.’ Those words felt good. I

•EDIT•Ptsd and dissociating• my perspective on me not knowing how think logically while mid panic.
Edit•I know I need to be mindful. I re read this and realized Im coming from a place where I am feeling very misunderstood and un-seen and unheard. And very afraid to trust. I’m going to leave this here though. Because I do panic and get frantic myself... this is a good awareness skill for me. I seem

Not all wounds are visible
Hello everyone, I am new here. I finally found the courage I needed to join a network for the hard truth I’ve been denying to myself - I need support. Those three words have been a silent cry for help... words only said to myself during trying times with the love of my life, a USMC veteran. While I’m

Introductions
I thought I should start with an intro. I am a long time sufferer. I first saw my GP with IBS symptoms, constipation, bloating, abdominal pain, nearly 30 years ago when I was 22. I had childhood constipation issues before that. I remember being treated for that and now I wonder if the laxatives my

W4R3 complete :) Bring on week 5!
Woke up this morning to Cleeve Hill being covered in fog, very Hound of the Baskervilles. Ooerrr Sherlock! Pondering this morning's run, this swiftly changed to Gorillas In The Mist :)) I will admit, I was still a big sleepyhead sloth heading out this morning, whole body felt tired and legs like lead

Repeated PP episodes
I am so worried for my sister who is experiencing her third PP eposode since the birth of her son over 19 months ago. Everything i read suggests that usually you have one episode and after the first year the risk reduces. Anyone else experienced this? I am so heartbroken for her as her recovery was

Hello. I am a third time mother who experienced postpartum psychosis about 4 months ago. I am feeling absolutely horrible during this recover period . It is a horrible feeling and I don’t know if it is really depression because it feels more intense than that. I also don’t know if it could be medicine
