Jaundice with severe itching
Hi, I'm pretty new to this. My mother in law who is 65 has jaundice. She's had severe itching for the last 2 months. She had a stent put in her bile duct as they were blocked due to tumor growth. It's been 1 week but her itching hasn't stopped. She's going mad with the itching. Is there anything that

New CKD Stage 3 - opinions please
So glad, but overwhelmed w/so much info, to find this site. Just diagnosed w/Stage 3 CKD & sounds like many like me: Scared. I'm an active 69 yr old, 80% vegetarian, normal weight w/none of the typical symptoms for CKD, can only figure it's reflux & past pain medications or my love for sugar (not diabetic

6 years and still in the dark
I've been suffering with a chronic rash on my face for a little over 6 years now. I't got progressively worse this last year. I've been to various GP's and derma and they have just treated me for Rosacea. I really do not believe it's Rosacea. It does flare up and down but it NEVER goes completely. The

Help Advice please
I hve been on throxine for 4 years and felt unwell all that time, soon as I started 25mg it gave me what I can only describe as pressure in head and sinuses, each time I try to go up to 50, 75 mg this pressure pain in head with headaches gets worse, I then started with chronic migraine and dizziness.

Weals
For the last week or so I have been suffering from itchy, raised weals all over my body, mainly my legs, knees, elbows, side of tummy and top of feet. My washing powder hasn't changed. I have only taken 2 antihistamines during this time as someone said they are bad but they don't die down otherwise.

Antihistamines
Hi hope your all well. I been taking loratadine antihistamines every day since March for hay fever. I was just wondering should I stop taking them soon? as hay fever season is nearly over or shall I just keep taking them through the winter too? My asthma and hayfever have been pretty good this year

Rash
Anyone have any thoughts on this rash? It's on my arm, but also on my side and my thigh, although a bit less severe. The itch is driving me mad and antihistamines are doing nothing. My skin biopsy suggested possibly Urticarial Vasculitis. I'm awaiting a dermatology review on the 25th and have heard nothing

Rash at the moment
Can I ask for thoughts on this rash on my arm at the minute? It's the same, but less severe, on my side and my thigh where they took the biopsy from in July. I have a dermatology review on 25th September but no contact from rheumatology yet, despite the consultant being back from holiday for 2 weeks

Throat itch drives me mad
I've recently developed a itch on my soft palate (back of mouth near throat) and it's come to the point where it literally stops me from sleeping or doing day to day activities because it's all I can focus on. My tongue&throat have gone sore as I use them to deal with the itch (even subconsciously now

Can you develop an allergic reaction to meds after taking them for a while?
My go told me yesterday that the "bites" i have so many of aren't, they're an allergy to something. She's given me an antihistamine. Asked me if I'd been near poison ivy - I haven't! I can't think of anything and I've had them for a good couple of months. I've never had anything like this before.

Dipping my toe in the water here...
Hi there. I'm hoping you have some advice for me as I feel like I've come to a bit of a dead end. Please bear with me as I may waffle! I'm a 36 year old mum of 3. I have always been healthy, active and look after myself. Up until now my body has rewarded me with little illness. In January I had a chest

Looking for advice
Hi everyone, This is my first post so I'll explain my situation to start with. I've been a heavy drinker for around 20 years. (Bottle of wine almost every night, bar two periods of complete abstinence during pregnancy) Around six months ago I began to notice an itchy/tingling feeling in my skin so I
