Recovery after bypass
I'm new to the community. I had a quad bypass in November 2016 after experiencing tightness in my chest and jaw but no heart attack. Last year I started to have the same feelings again and panicked that something was wrong. I was referred back to my cardiologist which resulted in my having a cardiac

Is an MRI heart stress perfusion test likely to trigger an AF episode? Anybody had one whilst in sinus mode?
Might seem a silly question but got last minute jitters concerning a scheduled MRI heart stress perfusion test. I have been in sinus mode since being diagnosed with AF nearly six months ago. UPdate and latest concern
Hi I know a lot of time has passed ( a few months) I just wanted to tell you all that I did not have my Myo cardio perfusion test as the nurse could see I was very worried about it ( after pains following a stent procedure) . I had a ultra sound stress test which the Consultant deemed acceptable and

I don’t know what to do now?!
During February my doctor sent me to see a lung doctor after a few tests he said that there is
pleural
effusion
(water in the lung) left side. I had a tab done then was told it was difficult so you going to need a procedure by a cardio thoracic.

Microvascular angina? Is it worth getting a second opinion?
I have been getting chest pain on exertion (esp. walking uphill) for several years. At first it was the exception, now it is pretty regular, but still variable. Sometimes I can do a similar walk with a lot of pain, sometimes very little. I've had the following tests - Exercise CT scan; CT Coronory angiogram

Pleural Effusion / PleurX Drain
Mom had the Gamma knife May 3rd, quickly tapered off steroids to have Infusion May 6th, then ended up in ER on the 9th. She has a fever and lung fluid build up again. Back in March they drained 1.8 liters from her left lung. This time it was just 1 liter, and the doctors said the drainage tube would

I'm just nervous because

doesn't have a great survival rate, and this is our biggest issue right now.

Lupus and Fibromalgyia
Hi all I'm super new to this site. I was diagnosed 3 years ago and it's been downhill ever since. I'm now seeing a psychiatrist for my mental health and he suggested I go back to my rheumatologist and ask to be rechecked. He thinks I may have something else either Lupus or something else. I do contract

Chemotherapy side effects
Hello once again. I'm due for my second perfusion of Cisplatin and Alimta (for stage IIa Non-small) this coming Monday. I suppose I will be able to discuss this with the nurses but it's hard to know who to talk to as everyone is in such a rush all the time. They say to report any side effects to

Myocardial Perfusion
My husband has had the above test done today and on way home it has brought on his angina symptoms terrible. He thinks it’s due to the fatty food he had to eat for it. He is getting bad chest pains and down arm and in neck. Has anyone else had this after this test?

Perfusion normal
Hi Further to previous messages I received confirmation today from my cardiac nurse that the perfusion was normal and my heart is working well which is great news given my past history. I'm now left wondering what else could be causing me to get breathless after a little activity and feeling so tired

Chemo affecting kidneys
Hi there, My mum had her first round of chemo (cisplatin and pemetrexed) two weeks ago for her stage IV NSCLC and has since been hospitalised (with complications of her cancer -
pleural
effusion
and blood clots) rather than the chemo and she is going home in a day or two.

Unexplained Chest Pains/Palpitations
I started having tachycardia 4 years ago. My heart rate would go up into the 170s. I've had several ECGs, blood work, CT Scan of the heart, stress test, holter monitor, Ziopatch and echo. Everything came back normal. I have been put on propranolol, metoprolol, and now Bisoprolol 2.5 mg once daily since
